Chris Ramsey is a British comedian, television host, and podcaster from South Shields.

Primarily working as a stand-up comedian, Chris has been working in the industry since 2007 after trying his hand at the craft at an open mic night.

His comedy is often observational in nature, often using his family for inspiration. He has been married to Rosie Ramsey since 2014 and together they have two sons, Robin and Rafe.

He has since done seven UK tours of his solo shows as well as two tours alongside Rosie, selling out the O2 Arena in London.

One of his stand-up shows, Approval Needed, is available on Prime Video.

Early in his career, he tried his hand at acting and starred in sitcom Hebburn, however, he has been mainly seen as a TV personality and presenter, appearing on panel shows including Celebrity Juice, Virtually Famous, 8 Out of 10 Cats, and Mock the Week.

He also hosted I’m A Celebrity Extra Camp in 2016, and in 2017 landed his own series with The Chris Ramsey Show.

In 2019, he competed on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, making it to the quarter-finals before being knocked out. Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher won the series that year.

In 2020, he hosted talent show Little Mix: The Search and has also hosted the annual telethon Children in Need.

On top of his stand-up career, Chris Ramsey hosts the podcast Shagged Married Annoyed alongside his wife, Rosie.

In each episode, the pair discuss the ups and downs of married life with their children, including their annoyances, answer questions, and read stories from listeners.

New episodes are available every Friday.

Chris is also a contestant on series 13 of Taskmaster, available on Channel 4.

Chris Ramsey: Live in London is available on Sky Comedy and NOW from September 18.
