Former cop and Special Forces agent Cole Reed is now living a quiet life in Singapore, working as a chauffeur and confidante for billionaire shipping tycoon, Tibu Campallo.

But on the night Tibu sells his company amid plans to retire, he’s ambushed and murdered in front of Reed – who is then framed for the crime.

Heading on the run, Reed heads to a freight ship in order to track down the real person responsible, but in doing so uncovers an international conspiracy that could have devastating consequences for those on board.

All the action movie greats are brought together for this film series, so obviously Jason Statham made the cut alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Jet Li and more.

Following a group of elite mercenaries as they take on potentially deadly government missions no one else can handle, Statham plays expert knife-fighter Lee Christmas, who is devoted to the team and acts as the right hand man for Stallone’s Barney Ross.

The Fast and Furious franchise is a legend of its own making – full of street racing in fancy cars and shady goings-on, all while noting the importance of found family.

With 10 films in the main franchise to date (not including the spin-offs, we’ll get there), Statham makes his entrance as ruthless former British special forces assassin Deckard Shaw during Fast 6 – and in the installments since has gone from enemy to ally for Dominic Toretto’s team of racers.

With each installment, the stakes get higher, the stunts get bigger, and the races get faster, so get ready for a wild ride with this franchise!

Back playing a tough guy, Statham stars as an ex-NYPD cop and cage fighter who comes to the aid of Mei, a young girl who finds herself pursued by the corrupt NYC cops, the Russian mob and the Triads. As it says on the tin, a fast-paced action movie which will keep you entertained from start to finish.

After proving such a hit in the initial franchise, Statham landed a starring role in this Fast and Furious spin-off – so we thought it deserved a special place on this list.

Starring alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson who plays Luke Hobbs, Hobbs and Shaw follows the pair as they are forced to work together despite absolutely hating each other.

But when there’s a bigger threat at hand, they need to put their differences aside in order to take down a criminal organisation that is set to cause a global international disaster.

He’s used to taking on bad guys, but in The Meg, Statham takes on an enemy of a completely different nature - an absolutely massive shark called The Megalodon.

After the Megalodon is accidentally released, it’s up to deep-sea diver Jonas Taylor (Statham) to use all his wits, ocean knowledge and diving skills to his advantage and stop it before it causes mass casualties and absolute destruction.

Another Statham classic, Mechanic: Resurrection sees him play Arthur Bishop, a former assassin who tries to leave the violent life behind him, but is dragged back in when someone he’s close to, Gina, is kidnapped by a crime gang and held as a blackmailing tool. In order to get her back, he needs to get rid of three of their competitors for the organisation, and make them look like an accident.

Determined to rescue Gina, Bishop’s travels the globe to complete each assignment – before getting revenge on those who have forced him into an impossible situation.

In a personal favourite, Spy sees Statham take all the roles he’s best known for and send them up in a hilarious way in this action-comedy alongside Melissa McCarthy.

While the film follows CIA analyst Susan as she’s forced to go undercover to find the killer of her longtime in-the-field partner (played by Jude Law), Statham is on hand as Rick Ford, a highly smug, extravagant (and prone to exaggeration) agent who can’t resist trying to take the mission over and make it all about him. After all, he’s the best operative in the entire CIA (or so he likes to think). A lot of fun and tongue-in-cheek, the film is a brilliant change of pace for Statham – but still him at his very best, elaborate stunts and all.

Co-written and directed by Guy Ritchie, this action thriller Is a classic Ritchie production – centring on the criminal world and those who operate as professional criminals. The plot follows a conman (played by Statham) who, after seven years spent in prison, is determined to take revenge on mob boss Dorothy Macha (played by Ray Liotta). Sporting a slightly different look to what we’re used to, Statham’s performance is superb!

After leaving his life as a fighter behind, former Las Vegas bodyguard Nick Wild (Statham) finds his small security jobs being more than he bargained for after his friend Holly is attacked by the son of a gangster.

When she asks for his help, he returns back to his violent ways for one last round – planning to take down the criminals responsible. However, he’s also got his own demons to battle as, after all, being a gambling addict in Vegas is filled with temptation and trouble, and if he’s not careful it could be his downfall.

Former DEA agent Phil Broker (Statham) heads to a small town in Louisiana in order to start a new life alongside his daughter, Maddy. But when a local bully decides to target Maddy, it sets off a chain of events that drags Phil and his daughter into the world of illegal drug manufacturing and violence.

Another from Statham’s hot streak of vengeance tales, Hummingbird sees him play Joey Jones, a troubled former soldier haunted by his time in Afghanistan.

After the death of his beloved landlady, former government assassin Adam Clay – a member of a secret organisation known as The Beekeepers – comes out of retirement to go on a vengeance mission.

Believing her to be a victim of a phishing scam which took millions of dollars from both her and the charity he runs, Clay heads to the company for answers.

However, he soon finds himself wrapped up in a political conspiracy that reaches higher than he could have imagined in his bid to take down those responsible.

As Detective Sergeant Tom Brant, his behaviour can sometimes be aggressive, he is determined to do well in his job, but when a serial killer known as Blitz begins targeting other members of the force, he takes it upon himself to track the killer down before any more lives are lost. Teaming up with openly gay Detective Sergeant Porter Nash, can their different methods of policing hold the key to serving justice?

Based on the true story of the Baker Street bank robbery in 1971, The Bank Job sees Statham as Terry Leather, a car dealer who is drawn back into his criminal past.

Joining a crack team of thieves on their heist, the team intend to tunnel their way into the vaults, crack the safes and safety deposit boxes, and swipe as much money as they can.

However, their seemingly foolproof plan backfires when some of the deposit boxes contains criminal information – including names and evidence against powerful British official who don’t take too kindly to their secrets falling into the wrong hands.

This action thriller sees Jet Li and Jason Statham back together for their second movie, following The One. Statham plays an FBI agent who is out for revenge on an assassin called Rogue. Naturally, violence ensues, with twists abounding everyone along the way.

Statham goes full bad guy in this thriller, going up against Avengers star Chris Evans in a battle of wits amid some major stunts and explosions.

When teacher Jessica Martin (Kim Basinger) is kidnapped and held captive, desperately attempts to put back together a smashed-up phone to get help – and instead gets a twenty-something lothario called Ryan (Evans) who thinks it’s a prank.

However, when he hears just how much danger she’s in, he does anything he can in order to save her by any means necessary, unwittingly becoming entangled in a world of corrupt police officers (led by Statham) and the criminal underworld.

In this remake of the iconic 1966 Michael Caine heist movie, a group of professional thieves plan to pull off the job of a lifetime by plotting to steal a fortune from a safe in Venice.

However, if there’s one person you know not to trust, it’s a criminal and a thief, and when one of the team deceives them, it’s up to them to get back what they’ve taken.

Statham helps the criminal gang as the getaway driver, Handsome Rob, whose cracking nickname is matched equally by his driving skills – which is always handy in a situation that requires a lot of car chases.

Following his breakout appearance in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Statham joined forces with Guy Ritchie once again for this iconic British crime caper.

In the film, Statham plays London boxing promoter Turkish, who finds himself having to work with volatile bare-knuckle boxer Mickey O’Neil (Brad Pitt).

After that, he becomes entangled in a series of schemes to retrieve a precious diamond – and naturally, chaos commences, with Turkish giving us all the grisly details as he navigates London’s underworld.

This British sports movie reunites most of the cast of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch for a fun adaptation of the 1974 American film The Longest Yard. With a whole line-up of former professional football players making appearances and a brief cameo from then current player Ryan Giggs, this is a must-watch for any sports fans. Statham plays the role of “The Monk” – a violent high-security inmate in the prison.
