Everything you need to know about Sex Education

Sex Education follows the lives of the teens at Moordale Secondary School as they discover the ups and downs of sex and sexuality.

We’re introduced to the group through Otis, whose mother Jean is a sex therapist, as he decides to open up a sex clinic of his own for the school to help peers discuss sexual health issues on a peer-to-peer basis.

The clinic is set up with the help of Maeve, who is bright but deemed a ‘wild child’ by those around her during her tough upbringing, and Otis’s best friend Eric, an openly gay man.

Over the course of the four seasons, the show evolves into the importance of friendship, the plights of peer pressure, and the difficulties that come with fitting in.

Launching in 2019, the show has been praised for its honest depiction of teenage life and the need for more open education around sex and sexuality.

It ran for four seasons, ending in 2023.
