What is Mutiny about?

Jason Statham is back in action in new Sky Original high-octane thriller, Mutiny.

In the film, Cole Reed – a former police officer and Special Forces op – has relocated to Singapore and is living a simple life as a bodyguard and chauffeur for Tibu Campallo, the billionaire owner of a freight business.

However, tragedy strikes on the day Tibu announces his retirement when their car is ambushed, and he’s shot and killed by mercenaries.

Believing the attack must have been an inside job, Cole goes on the run as the murder is pinned on him, stowing away on board one of Tibu’s freight ships to buy time and find answers.

However, once setting sail, a shocking discovery makes him realise the imminent danger he and others are in, and he needs to step in before it’s too late.

As corruption and conspiracy reaches an international level, Cole and third mate Angie Ellis need to club together in order to make it back to land alive.

Partnering with Jean-François Richet – director of Plane and The Emperor of Paris – Statham is also producing the movie with his company, Punch Palace Productions.

Speaking of acquiring the movie, Julia Stuart, Director of Original Film, said: “Mutiny was an irresistible project for us – a perfect combination of two action powerhouses Jason Statham and Jean-François Richet, which we know is going to deliver an unforgettable experience for viewers.

The Beekeeper was a huge hit for us, so it’s fantastic to add another Statham-powered title to our slate and to work alongside Lionsgate to bring this high octane project to international audiences.”
