As Steve’s flown back to Europe, he reunites with Rob in Italy. The duo hit the road in an Italian Job-style mini to Piemonte – where Rob turns the journey into a karaoke session.
Over lunch, Steve reveals he’s no longer drinking and doesn’t plan to while on the trip, but asserts he’ll ‘still have fun’, though noted his surprise at The Observer wanting them back.
Rob reveals he ended up writing the initial articles that Steve was commissioned for.
As they dine, the pair discuss the difficulties of making a sequel, Rob takes the opportunity to bust out his Godfather impressions over lunch, before both admit their ulterior motives for accepting the job.
Episode 2 - ‘Da Giovanni, San Fruttuoso’
At the hotel, Steve and Rob call home to check up on their families before settling in for the evening.
The pair spend a day at sea on as they head to San Fruttuoso for lunch, where they discuss the benefits of a holiday, the perils of pharmaceutical companies, and the benefits of taking Viagra.
From there, they take a visit to Lord Byron’s house and a local market, before taking a dip in the ocean. Rob flirts with the captain, Lucy.
As they head back to land for dinner, the pair question how they will be remembered by the world in 200 years’ time.
Episode 3 - ‘La Suvera, Pievescola’
The next morning, Rob has regrets from the night before as he and Rob head to Viareggio in Tuscany. Visiting the beach where Shelley’s body was washed ashore, the pair continue to question their own mortality.
As Rob takes the wheel, the next destination is Pisa. They grab dinner at Trattoria Albana, where they compare British Comedy Award wins, autobiographies, and reflect on Byron’s life.
As they arrive at their next hotel, Rob gets a call requesting a self-tape for a potential dramatic role in a Hollywood thriller.
Episode 4 - ‘Hotel Locarno, Rome’
Worried about his audition, Rob recruits receptionist Alba to read his scene with him – while Steve records it – but Rob’s Al Pacino impression seems to be taking centre stage.
As their Alanis Morrisette sing along continues on the road, Steve’s driving and Rob’s directing skills are called into question as they arrive in Rome.
Once in the capital, the pair are reunited once again with Steve’s assistant Emma and photographer Yolanda, where they visit the Keats and Shelley Museum before grabbing drinks at Il Palazzetto and lunch at Oliver Glowig’s two-Michelin starred restaurant.

As they settle into their hotel room, Rob is delighted at getting able to stay in the Greta Garbo suite and gets a call from his agent about his Hollywood role.
Stopping to take in the views at the Terrace of Infinity, following in the footsteps of Humphrey Bogart, the duo unwind with a glass of wine over dinner, where they continue to reflect on Byron’s legacy and their own.
At the end of the evening, the pair call their loved ones, prompting Steve to make an offer.
Episode 6 - ‘Il Riccio, Capri’
As the trip comes to an end, the pair are joined by Steve’s son Joe and assistant Emma once again.
