The Season 2 trailer

On 1 June 2023, Sky dropped the latest trailer giving fans a sneak peek at what they can expect from season two of And Just Like That…. And from what we can see it’s lining up to be another great season. It wouldn’t be the show we love if it didn’t have an abundance of fashion, friendship and romantic rendezvous.

Carrie

We see Carrie evolving from her Sex and the City days where she used to store clothes in her oven because she’s (finally!) discovered what its main function is….cooking. Season two Carrie is trying to move on from the loss of Mr. Big, with the support of besties Miranda and Charlotte.

Miranda

Elsewhere, all appears to be going well with Miranda and Che but in the trailer we see Miranda confronting an unknown figure saying “I don’t know who you really are”, so perhaps all is not as perfect as it seems?

Charlotte

Charlotte, having spent years as a devoted stay-at-home-mum is seen deliberating whether a job offer will take her away from her children who need her more than ever. And the moment we’ve all been waiting for… Aidan and Carrie reuniting! We get our first glimpse at how they both reconnected after ten years and it was Carrie who made the first move. Keeping it old school, Carrie sends Aidan an email to see how he’s doing and cut to the next frame, they’re out at dinner.

Episode 1

And just like that, Carrie and Co are back on our screens! The first few minutes give us a nod to the SATC we know and love, with Carrie in bed with her podcast producer. In fitting fashion, the girls are off to the Met Ball and panicking over what to wear.

Miranda is still in LA and getting stuck into LA-life by enjoying a session in a sensory booth, whilst Che grapples with production staff who want them to wear an outfit suitable for TV. Miranda and Che’s relationship appears to be on track, with Miranda experiencing a lot of firsts – including how to wear a strap-on. Back in NYC things aren’t going as well for Nya and it seems as though things are over with Andre.

After a wardrobe disaster just hours before the Met Ball, Carrie searches in her own closet for something to wear and pulls out something that’s only had one outing…her Vivienne Westwood wedding dress. With a few extra accessories, Carrie repurposes her pain and heads to the Met Ball.

Who is Carrie dating in AJLT S2?

In the first episode we see Carrie in bed with her podcast producer, Franklyn. As she later explains to Charlotte, it’s a casual setup – where they meet every Thursday - and she doesn’t want anything more.

Where does Carrie wear her Vivienne Westwood wedding dress?

After being papped filming for S2, wearing the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress from her first wedding to Big, the internet was full of speculation as to why Carrie would be wearing this. And we finally got our answer! With hours to go until the Met Gala, Carrie has a wardrobe disaster which leaves her with no choice but to choose something from her wardrobe – the iconic Vivienne Westwood wedding dress.

Episode 2

Episode two begins with Carrie recording her podcast and she’s still battling her prudishness when asked to discuss vaginal products – much to the frustration of Chloe. During their weekly rendezvous, Franklyn helps Carrie rewrite the segment so that it is more ‘Carrie Bradshaw’. Elsewhere Charlotte is busy with her two teenagers and figuring out how to support them on their journey to adulthood.

Nya is continuing to deal with the breakdown of her relationship with Andre, after he reveals that he hasn’t cheated on her…yet. In LA, Miranda is facing her alcoholism head-on and attending her first AA meeting where she meets a friend who invites her to participate in a beach clean. Having lost her phone during the beach clean in turn making her late to dinner, Miranda gets picked up one of Che’s friends – Lyle – who reveals that he was previously married to Che.

Having finally figured out how to tackle difficult podcast topics, Carrie and Franklyn arrive at the studio to discover that their podcast has been cancelled with the studio selling up to a competitor. Franklyn uses this opportunity to end their working and romantic relationship.

Who is Lyle?

In episode two, we meet Lyle (played by Oliver Hudson) when he, sent by Che, picks Miranda up from the side of the road after her beach clean. Within minutes of meeting, Miranda learns that Lyle was “technically” married to Che, whatever that means.

Episode 3

Despite her podcasting career having come to an abrupt end, Carrie is busy recording the audio version of her memoire book. On her way to the studio she bumps into her neighbour, Lisette, who invites Carrie to her upcoming jewellery show. In the studio Carrie struggles with having to read – and relive - the chapter which talks about the moment she returned home to find Big dying on the floor.

Whilst recording a segment for a documentary Lisa is working on, Nya has a flirty exchange with Brian, the sound technician. Later at lunch, Nya receives a text from Brian asking her out…could a new romance be on the cards?

Meanwhile Lisa and Charlotte are thrilled to discover that they’ve come second and third in a MILF list that has been created by a kid at their children’s school.

A surprise encounter with Bitsy and a shopping trip later, Carrie – still unable to read the lines about Big dying – decides that the only way she can get out of the recording is to lie and say she has covid.

Elsewhere, Miranda is still in LA playing the role of supportive girlfriend by rehearsing lines with Che and even finds herself toying with the idea of getting a tattoo. But a call from a heartbroken Brady, whose girlfriend has just broken up with him, threatens to burst her LA love bubble. After being called out by Brady for not picking up his phone calls, Miranda sneaks her phone onto the set of Che’s TV show. To her horror it goes off in the middle of Che and Tony’s big scene, ruining the take and upsetting Che. After a heated confrontation with Che, Miranda makes it back to NYC just in time for Brady to walk through the door.

At Lisette’s jewellery launch, Carrie comes face-to-face with a waiter who steals Lisette’s collection and even threatens to take her prized Carrie necklace before being scared off by Seema. After heading downstairs to a devasted Lisette’s apartment, Carrie whilst offering words of support comes to terms with Big’s death and is later able to record the chapter about Big.

Episode 4

At the end of the previous episode we saw Carrie finishing the recording of the audiobook version of her upcoming memoire and in fitting fashion, this episode begins with Carrie presenting Jackie with a signed physical copy of this very book. Whilst waiting on Jackie to return from the bathroom – having rushed there after his stomach decides to punish him for breaking the ‘no hollandaise before noon’ rule – Carrie spots her former Vogue Editor Enid Frick leaving the restaurant and takes the opportunity to ask her if she would be so kind as to mention her new book in her Ask Enid blog. With a readership rivalling Goop, who can blame Carrie for trying! Instead, Enid offers Carrie an opportunity to be involved with her new online magazine, Vivante, targeted at woman ‘our age’.

Across the city, Charlotte and Lisa are at the school sending their kids off on an overnight school trip leaving them child free and not knowing what to do with all their free time. Miranda is still in New York looking after a broken-hearted Brady and trying to deal with being back under the same roof as a ripped Steve.

Carrie continues to receive texts from an unknown person. After messaging back to tell him he’s got the wrong number, her mystery man introduces himself as Marlon and reveals that Carrie is exactly the person he was trying to contact. Over lunch with the girls (and Anthony), Charlotte reveals that Harry is having some issues in the bedroom which leads to a conversation filled with mayo analogies. A quick trip to the doctor reveals that the issue is a weak pelvic floor, so Charlotte takes it upon herself to become Harry’s personal trainer and teach him how to do a Kegel.

A family therapy session with Miranda, Steve and Brady brings up some home truths – namely whether Miranda and Steve are getting divorced or not. At the suggestion of the therapist, Steve offers to move out and Brady drops the bombshell that he isn’t planning on going to college.

Angry with Brady’s decision, Miranda heads over to Che’s new NYC apartment with Carrie in tow. There Carrie meets Lyle, who Miranda is surprised to see is still around having assumed he was going to head back to LA after dropping Che and their belongings off at the new pad. The four of them enjoy drinks in Che’s new flat, where Che and Lyle share details of how they got married. Vegas, apparently.

At Lisa’s birthday dinner, Charlotte meets art gallery owner Marcus Kasabian who remembers her from years ago, when she used to work in the industry. After catching up over dinner, Marcus encourages Charlotte to follow her passion for art by coming to work for him at his gallery but content with her role as a full-time mum, she politely turns him down.

Back in Che’s flat, Lyle falls asleep in their bed after one-too-many drinks. After being reassured by Che that Lyle is a deep sleeper and with no other option thanks to a broken couch, Miranda and Che climb into bed next to him to go to sleep. But as things get heated between Miranda and Che, Lyle wakes up and decides to join in. Wanting to be more adventurous Miranda agrees to a threesome but after an untimely muscle cramp, she decides that it isn’t for her and encourages Che and Lyle to carry on just the two of them.

At the launch event for Vivante, Carrie decides to take Enid up on her offer to write for the publication only to find out that what Enid wanted was for Carrie to come onboard as a founding donor…and write a cheque for 10,000 dollars. After accidentally swiping across to an x-rated photo on Carrie’s phone, Enid is shocked to discover that Carrie has been exchanging texts with her boyfriend – Marlon. An embarrassed Carrie accidentally offends Enid by suggesting that Marlon is too old for Carrie to date and in an effort to smooth over the situation, agrees to transfer Enid the money she was asking for.

Who is Marcus Kasabian?

Marcus Kasabian is an art gallery owner, who Charlotte meets at Lisa’s birthday dinner. At the dinner and having bonded over their mutual love of art, Marcus offers Charlotte a role at his art gallery which she turns down due to already having a full-time job…being a mum.

Who is Enid Frick?

Enid is Carrie’s former Vogue editor – the one who offered her the wedding feature when she was marrying Big and the moment when she first wore the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress which Carrie rewore in season 2 of AJLT. Having left Vogue, Enid is now running a successful online blog Ask Enid and is setting up a new online publication for older woman called Vivante.

Episode 5

And just like that Halloween is upon us. Miranda and Che are navigating the complexities of living together with Miranda’s alarm waking Che up at 5am…just an hour after she went to bed. Determined to be there for Brady, Miranda heads home to Brooklyn so she can get him up and make him breakfast.

Carrie and Co head off to a Halloween costume party, with some getting more into the fancy-dress spirit than others. Charlotte is excited to hear that Rock has been scouted by a Ralph Lauren scout, with Harry remaining sceptical about the legitimacy of the scout.

Carrie, Nya and Seema head to a hotel bar on the hunt for men. Nya and Seema have early success, leaving Carrie to entertain herself. Things are going seemingly well for Seema but once things progress to the bedroom she’s shocked to see her date pulling out a penis pump to help him get things going.

Carrie, distracted hearing Seema’s tale of the night before, steps into a cycling path and ends up knocking a man – George - off his bike. Feeling terrible Carrie accompanies him to the urgent care where he discovers he’s broken his wrist and Carrie finds out that he’s single.

Charlotte and Rock team up to pitch the Ralph Lauren modelling gig to a protective Harry. Nya is riding high after a fun evening with the man she picked up at the hotel bar, whereas Miranda is exhausted after being kept up all night by Che and her rowdy friends. So, Nya makes Miranda an offer she can’t refuse – to move in with her until Steve has found a place of his own.

Carrie, still feeling terrible about causing the accident which broke George’s wrist, swings by his apartment to drop off some food and offer him her typing services to help him finish his sales presentation. But the pair get little work done as they get distracted by each other before being interrupted by George’s business partner, Paul, who is not pleased to see Carrie there distracting George.

Over dinner, Miranda breaks the news to Che that she is planning on moving into Nya’s spare room. Elsewhere, Charlotte accompanies Rock on their test shoot for Ralph Lauren and spots Harry – wearing his Halloween costume as a disguise – sneaking in to check that everything is above board.

During a focus group for the TV show they’ve been filming in LA, Che gets some negative feedback on their character which leads to networks turning it down. Miranda tries to play the role of supportive girlfriend but fails, with Che blowing up at her and asking for space.

Carrie and George get interrupted again by his business partner, Paul, who is checking up on the status of the decks ahead of their big sales presentation. Carrie decides to end things before they can go any further, having realised that George is in-fact married…to his work-husband Paul.

Who is George Campbell?

George Campbell is a New York businessman who meets Carrie when she steps out into a cycling lane, causing him to fall off his bike and break his wrist. Things become romantic after Carrie drops by his apartment to bring him an apology lunch. But having been interrupted by his business partner (twice!), Carrie decides to put an end to things after realising that he’s married to his job.

Episode 6

Carrie is busy on her book tour, kicking things off with a Sunday morning interview with a journalist who is yet to read the book and knows little to nothing about Carrie’s life. Not the start Carrie was after.

Rock’s Ralph Lauren ad is featured in the weekend papers, leaving Charlotte very excited and Lily feeling left out. Charlotte and Harry are shocked to hear that Lily is ready to lose her virginity.

Seema, looking for an escape from the city, asks Carrie to spend the summer with her in the Hamptons.

Che is still reeling from their failed TV sitcom and to keep money coming in, turns to recording video messages for fans on Cameo. A worried Miranda gets her head bitten off when encouraging Che to leave the house.

At a meeting with her book agent, Carrie learns she’s been booked for “Widow Con” and comes face-to-face with her old writing partner Karen Moore (who now goes by Karrie) who is now working for the widow convention Carrie will be speaking at. Having been booked for the main speaking spot, Carrie ropes in a reluctant Che to help her prepare.

Over a girl’s dinner Nya shares how she’s struggling to cut ties with her ex-husband, which raises the question of when Miranda and Steve will discuss divorce. With discussion turning to past relationships, Carrie’s relationship with Aidan comes up leaving her wondering what he’s up to. Curiosity takes over and when Carrie gets home she drafts an email to Aidan.

With New York blanketed in snow, a reluctant-to-leave-the-house Che tries to persuade Carrie to cancel her attendance at Widow Con. But not wanting to let Karrie down, Carrie wants to crack on. The snow brings Rose’s plans to lose her virginity forward, leaving an emotional Charlotte unsure of how to act. Later Charlotte receives a panicked phone call from Lily who reveals that Blake has forgotten to buy condoms, leaving Charlotte no choice but to head out in the snow to buy some for her. With all the pharmacies closed, Charlotte is left exploring the city in the snow to find somewhere that’s open.

A nervous Carrie asks Che for a joke she can tell on stage at Widow Con to get the crowd to warm up to her, but it falls flat. Despite this Carrie receives a resounding round of applause from the audience, giving Che some much needed perspective on her life.

Elsewhere Lisa speaks about her documentary at a panel. Despite initially saying he wasn’t able to make it, to Lisa’s surprise Herbert shows up to catch the final half of her talk. Charlotte manages to find condoms and delivers them across the city to a grateful Lily.

Steve reveals to Miranda that he has no plans to move out of the apartment, leading them to finally have the conversation argument about their relationship. An emotional Steve lays claim to the house and makes some heart-breaking comments leaving Miranda in floods of tears. Later, Miranda finds an empty condom wrapper in her and Steve’s bedroom and realises that Steve has, despite what everyone else told her, moved on. Frustrated at him for having played the victim, she decides to start the divorce process.

Miranda heads over to Che’s flat, where Che reveals that they should break up. With one relationship – two if you count Miranda’s divorce from Steve – ending, could a new one be about to flourish? Carrie, fresh from her speaking event, decides to bite the bullet and send Aidan her drafted email.

Who is Karen Moore?

Karen Moore is Carrie’s former writing partner, who now works for Widow Con – a convention which Carrie is booked to speak at as part of her book tour. When the pair meet for the first time in years at Carrie’s agents office, Karen reveals she now goes by ‘Karrie’ with Carrie realising that they have differing recollections of their past ‘working’ relationship.

Do Che and Miranda break up?

It’s bad news for all the Che and Miranda stans out there. At the end of AJLT S2E6, Miranda heads over to Che’s flat where a resigned Che reveals that they’ve been thinking about the future of their relationship. Having come to the realisation that things aren’t going to improve, Che and Miranda break up.

Episode 7

And just like that…Aidan’s replied. Charlotte is thrilled to hear that Aidan is coming to town and that he’s asked Carrie to go for dinner…on Valentine’s Day. The topic of Valentine’s Day leads Carrie and Charlotte to grill Miranda on what her plans are for V-Day now that she’s newly single.

Che reveals to Carrie that she is Airbnb-ing her flat to make some money and with the help of a stray dog, gets her old job at a veterinary clinic back.

Newly single Miranda struggles with the complexities of dating as a bisexual woman. Who knew there are so many apps? A chance encounter with her favourite audiobook narrator, Amelia, turns romantic with Miranda landing herself a Valentine’s Day date.

Lily, who has been left broken-hearted after Blake decided to break up with her two weeks before V-Day, decides to throw a “F Boys” anti-Valentines Day party at home leaving Charlotte and Harry with no choice but to book a 5.30pm dinner just to get out of the house. Nothing says romance like an early dinner reservation!

Anthony ropes in Charlotte to help him with sourcing a ‘hot fella’ ahead of his appearance on Drew Barrymore’s chat show to promote his bakery. As luck would have it Charlotte spots the perfect man whilst out card shopping and 300 dollars later manages to get Giuseppe onboard for Drew’s show. Dressed in a very tight and rather revealing Hot Fella’s uniform, all eyes – including Drew’s – are on Giuseppe’s baked goods. With orders flying in after the TV appearance, Anthony hires Giuseppe for another week.

Charlotte accompanies Rock for her modelling agency auditions but to Charlotte’s complete shock and disappointment, Rock reveals that she doesn’t want to model anymore. At their Valentine’s dinner, Charlotte spends the evening moaning about her kids before a sudden dizzy spell leaves her worrying she’s having a stroke and whisked away to hospital.

Lisa is worried her son is going to sleep with his girlfriend in her bed, so before leaving for her Valentine’s dinner with Herbert she booby-traps her bed so that she can know if any funny business has gone down.

Miranda gets ready to head out for her Valentine’s date, which after a last-minute change of plans is now happening at Amelia’s apartment. Across the city, Carrie heads off for her dinner with Aidan but as it gets later and later she begins to worry he’s a no-show.

Charlotte’s hospital results come back and turns it out it wasn’t a stroke that caused her dizzy spell but one of Lily’s friends weed-brownies that she ate before heading out for dinner. Despite it not being the near-death experience she originally thought, Charlotte has an eye-opening realisation and tells Harry that she’s going to call Marcus Kasabian and ask him if the job offer is still on the table.

Miranda arrives at Amelia’s place where she’s disappointed to discover that dating in your 50s is just like in your 30s, leaving her no choice but to make an Irish exit whilst Amelia is downstairs washing her bed sheets. Lisa comes home to find her son’s girlfriend in her closet – a much worse situation than if they had been in her bed.

Carrie, having realised that she was in the wrong restaurant, heads outside where she comes face-to-face with Aidan for the first time in years. With the pair both single, for once it seems as though they’re on the same page. Later in the evening Aidan is thrown off by the fact that Carrie still lives in the same flat that holds so many memories – both good and bad – from their old relationship and reveals he can never step foot in her flat again. And just when it seems as though the promise of a Carrie and Aidan part two is over, Aidan remembers that a hotel room is always an option. Who said romance is dead?

Who is Amelia Carcy?

Amelia Carcy is Miranda’s favourite audiobook narrator who she bumps into in a NYC bookshop. With sparks flying, Miranda asks Amelia out for a Valentine’s Day dinner which ends in disaster after Amelia steps in her cat’s litter box and forgets to wash her bedding.

Is Drew Barrymore in And Just Like That… Season 2?

Yes, Drew Barrymore plays herself in Season 2 when Anthony appears on her chat show to promote his bakery Hot Fellas.

Episode 8

Aidan and Carrie spend the night together and the next morning, Aidan proves his intentions by saying he’d like Carrie to meet his sons. At lunch with the girls, Carrie fills them in on her time with Aidan but a concerned Miranda warns Carrie that things seem to be moving fast.

The rekindled relationship has left Carrie happier than ever and wondering if being with Big was a “big mistake”. Across town Charlotte tells her kids that she is starting a full-time job with Rock and Lily seemingly relaxed – perhaps even happy – about the prospect of their mum not being around as much.

Elsewhere, Miranda starts her internship at Human Rights Watch. Che is busy working at the veterinary clinic when Carrie stops by for a catch-up, but she has an ulterior motive for her visit. To save them on having to splash out on a hotel every time Aidan’s in town, Carrie wants to rent Che’s apartment, which is currently on Airbnb, when Aidan’s in NYC. Needless to say, Che is more than happy to oblige!

Anthony is busy at his Hot Fella’s bakery, dealing with the constant demands from his customers for Giuseppe to deliver their orders. Echoing the infamous Ghost pottery scene, Giuseppe stands behind Anthony and shows him how to knead bread properly and casually reveals that he’s gay. Taken aback by this revelation, Anthony fires Giuseppe before reneging in fear of an HR issue and placing him on probation instead.

Carrie and Aidan head over to Che’s apartment and find it not-to-their-standards, so head out to buy some much needed supplies. We’re talking the important stuff, like a pepper mill and salad tongs!

Seema is introduced to a studio exec, who is looking for a long-term rental in New York. Despite not ‘doing rentals’, Seema is enamoured by his good looks and charm so decides to take him on as a client.

Miranda tries to bond with her fellow interns but her sixth sense tells her they don’t like her, as she’s quickly becoming the teacher’s pet despite being the newest intern at the company. Elsewhere, Charlotte is struggling with how to dress for her new job, not having worked for several years and no longer having the body she had in her 20s.

Che swings by their apartment to visit Carrie and Aidan and asks the question we’ve all been wanting the answer to. Why didn’t Carrie and Aidan work the first time? Turns out it was because Carrie made a mistake.

Carrie unexpectedly bumps into Seema at the salon, where she decides to confront Seema about why she’s been avoiding her texts about dinner with Aidan. Seema confesses that being around Carrie in love makes her realise that she herself has never had a true love and might never, leading her to ask for some space and a devastated Carrie standing in the pouring rain.

Anthony decides to tell Giuseppe that he can’t work side-by-side with a gorgeous, gay Italian whilst remaining professional. So, Giuseppe decides to quit so the two can pursue a potential romance.

Miranda is asked to cover for her boss whilst she’s off on maternity leave but feels guilty for getting the role ahead of the other interns who have been at the company longer.

Having had sufficient space from Carrie, Seema turns up to the girls dinner where she finally meets Aidan. And in a sign that things are better than ever, Carrie heads off for a weekend at Aidan’s farm.

Episode 9

Things are moving full steam ahead with Carrie and Aidan, after Carrie checked off an important milestone of meeting Aidan’s kids. But despite Aidan’s positive outlook, Carrie is slightly perturbed by the less-than-warm reception she from Wyatt, Aidan’s 14-year-old son. Back in NYC, a chatty Aidan has put his foot in it with the building management at Che’s apartment serving them a notice.

Seema is busy trying to find her hotshot movie director a rental property and after giving him a very thorough tour of the bedroom, manages to sell him on the property.

Miranda is trying to encourage Brady to rethink his decision to not attend college and with her helicopter parenting tactics having little success, she gets Charlotte to enlist a reluctant Lily to have a word.

Lisa is exhausted having taken on too much between being a mother, wife and working on her own projects, finding herself falling asleep at her desk. Nya is enjoying single life and reaping the benefits of dating via Tinder.

While working at the vet clinic, Che meets Toby when a box of abandoned kittens are brought in. Carrie visits her old apartment where Che is living and breaks the news that the building has issued a warning, meaning they have to move out.

Carrie and Aidan head for a double date with Ravi and Seema and it’s not long before Aidan is fangirling over Ravi’s directorial credentials. It appears love is in the air, with Anthony and Giuseppe having gone on a number of dates but Giuseppe is perturbed by the fact that, five dates in, Anthony still isn’t putting out. But Anthony is unrelenting, sending Giuseppe on his way using the excuse of Stanford’s name still being on the lease for the flat.

Carrie makes the decision to put her apartment on the market again, enlisting Seema’s expertise to get things moving. She finds the perfect, four-bedroom house – a clear sign of where she see’s things going with Aidan. A surprised Carrie receives a call from Kathy, Aidan’s ex-wife, asking to go for coffee.

With Nya and her Tinder date occupying the one bathroom in the apartment, Miranda heads home to shower and stumbles across a half-dressed Lily walking out of Brady’s room. As any good friend does, she’s straight on the phone to a shocked Charlotte who was under the impression that Lily would be sleeping on the couch. Charlotte refuses to believe that Lily would have hooked up with Brady as he’s ‘not her type’ – leaving Miranda offended at the insinuation. Back home Charlotte is busy venting to an uninterested Harry and imagining all the different endings to the tryst. Later at Harry’s event, Charlotte comes face-to-face with Brady and together with Miranda spends the evening following Lily and Brady around to see if there’s any truth to the potential tryst.

Anthony confesses to Carrie that he’s planning on ending things with Giuseppe as he’s finally cracked what his agenda is – a green card. But with Giuseppe having a dual-citizenship that point is snuffed out pretty quickly, leaving Anthony to realise that maybe, just maybe, Giuseppe has genuine intentions.

Lisa arrives late to the party and reveals to her husband, Herbert, that the reason for her recent exhaustion is because she’s pregnant – leaving him stumbling over his speech.

Over coffee, Kathy asks that Carrie doesn’t reference her children in any books – even under a pseudonym. Carrie reveals that she’s looking for a bigger apartment – in part to accommodate Aidan and his kids – but a protective Kathy warns Carrie to not break Aidan’s heart again.

Carrie shows Aidan round the new apartment she’s considering buying prompting a conversation about where their relationship is heading. With both on the same page and an upset Lisette in the market for a new apartment, Carrie moves ahead with her plans to buy the new apartment and list her old one. For once it seems as though Carrie’s dreams might come true…

Episode 10

Carrie and Aidan head to Coney Island to check out the new bar Steve has bought, a first for Carrie who has never been there despite having lived in the city for years.

And the moment we’ve all been waiting for…Sam’s appearance. Nope, not Samantha - that’s next week - but Sam Smith. We were teased back in February 2023 that Sam Smith would be making a guest appearance, but little was known about what this would entail. Rocking a head-to-toe blue number, Sam is being shown around the art gallery by Charlotte but it’s not long before she’s interrupted by Rock calling with an “emergency” – they’ve forgotten their notebook at home.

Carrie decides to use her raffle prize of a Michelin-star chef for the evening to host a ‘last supper’ at her old apartment before she moves out. Miranda is flying in her job but struggles when she hears that Carrie spending time with her ex’s, Steve and Che, and knows more about their life then she does.

Lisa tells Charlotte that she’s pregnant and confesses that she doesn’t know how to juggle having a newborn and trying to build her career. Elsewhere, Anthony and Giuseppe are spending more time together but are struggling to define their relationship.

Seema and Ravi are going strong, with Seema confessing her love just three weeks in. Lisa is struggling to come to terms with her pregnancy and voices her concerns to Herbert.

Carrie meets with Anthony where she reveals that Stanford has decided to stay in Japan and having been fired by his TikTok client has decided to become a Shinto monk. In an effort to let go of everything that no longer serves him, Stanford has left everything – including their New York apartment – to Anthony.

Charlotte’s team at the art gallery persuade her to join them for a drink to celebrate her having sold a hundred-thousand-dollar painting to Sam Smith. After receiving a text from Lily and fed up of her kids contacting her, Charlotte chucks her phone in a pitcher full of margaritas. Across town, Miranda decides to join Carrie and Aidan at Che’s comedy night but is upset when the whole routine is about her relationship with Che.

Charlotte makes it home slightly worse for wear after a night on the town with her co-workers. Aidan gets a call from Kathy to tell him that Wyatt is in the ER with a broken collar bone after driving his truck into a tree, leaving him racing to get on the next flight.

Lisa wakes up in the middle of the night bleeding and fears she’s already lost the pregnancy. Carrie visits her new apartment in New York where she gets a call from Miranda who says she no longer feels comfortable going to the last supper if Che is going to be there. But Carrie stands her ground managing to persuade her otherwise. Aidan calls Carrie from the hospital and breaks down over his guilt of not being there for Wyatt – believing that had he been in Virginia he could have prevented the accident from happening. This admission leaves Carrie, for the first-time, worried for the future of her and Aidan’s relationship…

Who does Sam Smith play in And Just Like That…?

Sam Smith doesn’t disappoint with their role on And Just Like That… Appearing in episode ten, Sam plays themself in a scene with Charlotte where she’s helping them buy a painting from the art gallery she’s working at. Wearing a striking blue outfit, Sam’s cameo is nothing short of fabulous!

Episode 11

And Just Like That…we’ve made it to the final episode of Season Two. For those who are tuning in to see Kim Cattrall back in her role as Samantha, you’re in luck as she makes her appearance in the opening scenes. With Carrie preparing for her ‘last supper’, Samantha calls from the back of her cab to say that she won’t be able to make it due to fog in London. But that doesn’t stop her saying her own farewell to the flat via speakerphone.

Charlotte wakes up feeling fragile after her night out with her new work colleagues. And to her surprise, Anthony is over as he needs advice on his relationship with Giuseppe. But a hungover Charlotte tells Harry that she needs more support around the house and in their relationship, starting with Harry telling Anthony she is not free.

Miranda finally heads down to visit Steve’s new bar, where she tells him that she doesn’t want to be a stranger in his life. Elsewhere, Nya finds out she’s been elected to the prestigious American Law Institute but the good news makes her realise she has no one to share it with.

Carrie’s last supper begins, with all of Carrie’s nearest and dearest arriving to reminisce on all the memories they’ve shared in the flat. Arriving at Carrie’s apartment, Nya bumps into Toussaint (remember him?) who, it turns out, is the Michelin star chef that is cooking for them that evening.

Che and Miranda come face-to-face, with Che apologising about upsetting her with their stand-up routine. Giuseppe reveals that he’s going back to Rome, with no concrete plans to come back to NYC. Seema is struggling with her recent proclamation of love to Ravi and Lisa is dealing with guilt over her miscarriage, wondering if she ‘wished the baby away’.

Toussaint begins serving his dinner, with Nya boldly flirting with him in front of the whole table. Ravi keeps getting pulled away from the table to answer his phone and deal with problems with his upcoming film. Carrie goes around the table asking everyone to reveal the one thing they would like to let go of, with positive realisations and revelations being made. And with that, the last supper is over with Miranda rushing out to appear on the BBC.

Back at her apartment, Carrie is blowing out the candles now that all the guests have left when Aidan surprises her. Despite saying he’d never step foot in her apartment again, Aidan comes inside where he reveals that he won’t be coming back to New York as Wyatt needs him in Virginia. Carrie offers to spend more time in Virginia but Aidan shuts the idea down asking for time - five years to be exact.

Whilst Carrie’s world is crumbling, her friends’ romantic relationships are seemingly blossoming. After a night together, Carrie says goodbye to Aidan and the countdown clock to five years’ time starts. With Ravi gone to Egypt to work on his film for the next five months, Seema calls Carrie and invites her to Greece where they bond over how they’re both waiting for their significant others to return.
