If you own a business, you probably think it's the best in the industry, but might not be so eager to test it. In this programme, four pairs of bed and breakfast owners from all over Britain put their money and reputations on the line by staying at each other's establishments. They pay only what they deem to be an acceptable amount for the experience, with one establishment being named as the best value for money.

Episode 1Grove Barn B&B

Alan and Steph hope that their high standards of cleanliness at Grove Barn B&B in Norfolk will lead to sparkling feedback. But Alistair and Scott have a sinking feeling in their bathroom.

Episode 2Picaroons

Competitive couple Christine and Ian host at Picaroons B&B in Sheringham, Norfolk. But there are plumbing problems and cross words at breakfast.

Episode 3Brightham House

Stylish Scott and Alistair welcome their rivals to Brightham House in Malborough, Devon, where guests Steph and Alan are dazed by the design and expectations are high for breakfast.

Episode 4Moran's B&B

The final visit is to Moran's B&B in Westward Ho! in Devon, owned by ultra-chic retirees John and Jaqueline. But Christine and Ian aren't impressed by the lack of an ensuite.

Episode 5Payment Day

It's the final day of the competition and the B&Bers meet for the last time. After dramatic discoveries and cutting comments, the payments are revealed and the winner is announced.
