Amateur potters and ceramic artists from across the UK travel to Stoke-on-Trent, the historic centre of British pottery, to take part in a lively competition. Contestants are tasked with creating a range of useful and decorative items in ceramic, from beautiful basins and pot handles to artistic chandeliers and traditional teapots, that push the limits of both their artistic and technical abilities. Their creations are then evaluated by expert judges in order to reduce the field until a winner is crowned.
