A new nurse admits after her birthday party that no one has ever cared for her. The nurses refuse to date until their lonely colleague Edwina gets a date, so the men draw straws. (S1 Ep13)

Radar has received a 'Dear John' recording from his fiancee and becomes depressed. Hawkeye and Trapper decide what Radar needs is another girl. (S1 Ep14)

To get some extra supplies for the local orphanage, Hawkeye and Trapper invent a fictional captain. The deception slowly grows until everyone believes Tuttle to be a real person. (S1 Ep15)

Hawkeye and Trapper hit it off with a wounded Colonel, but when they discover his combat zeal is costing lives, they conspire to keep him from returning to the front line. (S1 Ep16)

Hawkeye's old friend appears at the 4077th. He's a soldier working on a book called You Never Hear the Bullet that hits a little too close to home for Hawkeye. (S1 Ep17)

Dear Dad... Again: Hawkeye pens a letter to his father, detailing the day-to-day insanity of living in the camp, including a bet with Trapper that nobody will notice if Hawkeye dines naked. (S1 Ep18)

In the middle of a cold snap, Hawkeye receives a pair of long-johns from home. Hawkeye gives them to an ill Trapper out of sympathy and he loses them in a poker game. (S1 Ep19)

Hawkeye becomes overly concerned when his patient fails to improve after surgery. Frank taunts Hawkeye by calling him 'Super Surgeon' which prompts a fight. (S1 Ep21)

Hawkeye's and Trapper's latest scheme succeeds when Frank and Hot Lips demand a transfer to another unit, but they soon realise that they will have to work double shifts. (S1 Ep22)

Ceasefire: News of a ceasefire has reached the 4077th. Everyone celebrates and says their good-byes, except Trapper, who remains skeptical. Hawkeye still has gambling debts to settle. (S1 Ep23)

Hawkeye and Frank clash as usual over the treatment of a soldier. Trapper fights desperately to save a badly injured man. He asks Mulcahy to pray for his surgical skills. (S1 Ep24)
