Almost a century after Captain Kirk's original five-year mission came to an end, Jean-Luc Picard continues the legacy of exploration as he captains the USS Enterprise-D on a voyage across the galaxy in search of new alien life and civilisations. Onboard the Federation flagship, Picard leads a crew of humans and aliens in their adventures across the final frontier, encountering new species like the Ferengi and Cardassians alongside former enemies like the Klingons. Boldly going where no one has gone before, the Enterprise-D faces many dangerous situations, and the crew's forays sees them encounter a seemingly unstoppable cybernetic species known as the Borg and Q, a mischievous god-like being who has put humanity on trial.
