When a friend from Val's holiday arrives in the village, Pollard spies an opportunity to get answers. Donna decides to leave the police and Doug looks forward to Hilary's return.

Doug awaits Hilary's arrival at Arthur's party. Carl and Anna are caught up in a bidding war over Mill Cottage.

Val learns that her tattoo refers to a barman from her holiday, and Bonnie forces her into an all-day drinking session in return for keeping it from Eric. Doug drowns his sorrows.

Paul uncovers Bonnie's deception and tells her to leave the village. Jo enjoys a stress-free day with Andy, and Laurel is shocked by Doug's behaviour when he buys a sports car.

Jo stands up to Andy when he becomes violent. Bob struggles to cope running both the cafe and the post office, and Laurel is disgusted to learn Doug spent the night with Bonnie.

Daz searches for Andy. Marlon and Paddy seek revenge when Jamie throws them out of the Woolpack, and Nicola continues her efforts to get Rodney to write another book.

Matthew and Katie are held at gunpoint by a face from the past, forcing Jimmy and Carl to risk their own lives to save them. Terry blames Jamie for his missing vegetables.

Belle plays Nicola at her own game when she relays Rodney's latest story, which appears to suggest he is aware of his daughter's scheme. Doug asks Brenda out on a date.
