1. Pilot
Five years ago, Bode burned down his past and left town in secrecy. Now, he is back and looking for redemption. Convicted for an armed robbery, he enrols in a firefighting program in Northern California to hopefully shorten his prison sentence. But in a twist of fate, he is assigned to his rural hometown – the place where all his troubles began.
2. The Fresh Prince of Edgewater
Bode’s request to transfer hangs his future in Edgewater in the balance. As he awaits the results, a treacherous storm hits Edgewater, forcing the program’s inmates and the town’s firefighters to join forces.
3. Where There’s Smoke…
A fire brings the crew to a remote forest known as a hotspot for illegal drug farms. When Jake and Vince attempt to help a teenager from the area, a dangerous outlaw holds them hostage, leading Bode and Manny to attempt a rescue.
4. Work, Don’t Worry
When the ceiling collapses at a wedding reception, Eve is torn between doing her job and finding her friend who is trapped in the rubble. As the situation worsens, Division Chief Sharon must decide between saving a loved one or the lives of multiple trapped victims.
5. Get Some, Be Safe
A fire breaks out at farm where Bode and Vince attempt to rescue a frightened and panicked horse. Meanwhile, Vince’s brother Luke arrives in Edgewater with reforms in mind for Cal Fire, and Jake gets a shock when he takes a call from Gabriela’s phone.
6. Like Old Times
Bode and Jake are forced to put aside their differences when a hiker falls from a trail and is trapped on a cliff. Sharon gives Bode some devastating news, and Eve is injured while attempting a rescue.
7. Happy to Help
A call out to a blaze at a local resident’s house turns ugly when Bode’s crew is accused of stealing a valuable heirloom from the victim’s home. Meanwhile, Gabriela inadvertently discovers the extent of her father’s debts.
8. Bad Guy
A high-speed car accident leaves two sibling’s lives hanging in the balance. As the team work on their rescue, the event triggers traumatic memories in Vince. With his judgement impaired, Bode has to step up to ensure they make it out alive.
9. No Good Deed
After the rescue attempt at the bridge ends with a life being lost, a legal case is launched against Cal Fire and an internal review takes place. Going back to the aftermath of the accident, Bode and Gabriela fight for their lives after they are swept downriver.
10. Get Your Hopes Up
While Sharon receives good news about her medical procedure, a boxcar crashes into the station and triggers a massive blaze. Meanwhile, Bode’s ex-girlfriend Cara arrives in town, and a team member eligible for release is put in a life-threatening situation.
11. Mama Bear
While Bode awaits results for an organ donor test, a former inmate and Cal Fire program prospect looks to settle a score with Sharon. When it becomes clear that the grudge may turn deadly, someone needs to stop Bode before he does something he’ll regret.
12. Two Pink Lines
When a plane crash causes a massive fire, Bode and his team of inmates band together with the civilian station 42 firefighters. There’s happy news for Freddy, and Sharon breaks some unwelcome news to Bode.
13. You Know Your Dragon Best
When a dangerous forest fire breaks out it endangers a group of environmentalists who are staging a protest at a new housing development. Also, when there’s a complication in Bode’s organ donation plan, an alternative option comes from an unlikely source.
14. A Fair to Remember
Manny steps up when a ride at an Edgewater fun fair goes haywire, putting the public in danger. Meanwhile, Sharon receives life changing news regarding her transplant, and both Bode and Jake try to move forward in their respective relationships.
15. False Promises
Eve’s life is in danger when she is trapped under a huge tree during a reforestation assignment. Meanwhile, a day off for Manny turns into an urgent rescue when a fisherman gets caught up in some machinery.
16. My Kinda Leader
After losing someone close, Bode prepares their eulogy. A wildfire breaks out in the neighbouring county, and Station 42 join local firefighters in what feels like an unwinnable battle. Meanwhile, a prison fire breaks out, and an investigation is launched as a Cal Fire member is suspected of arson.
17. A Cry for Help
With the internal investigation seeming to point to a member of the team as responsible for a series of arson attacks, Bode and the crew take upon themselves to carry out their own investigation. As they attempt to extract a civilian from a dangerous house fire, the truth comes out.
18. Off the Rails
Things become complicated when the crew responds to an incident involving a train colliding with a stranded bus after it becomes apparent the train is full of illicit cargo. Not least of which… jet fuel! Also, Manny receives a proposition… in more ways than one.
19. Watch Your Step
Cal Fire receives some new arrivals as a fresh batch of inmates arrive, including Bode’s ex- cellmate Sleeper. A fire breaks out at a wellness centre which seems innocuous enough, but is actually far more dangerous than anyone can imagine.
20. At the End of my Rope
As Bode attempts to prevent Sleeper putting the rest of his fellow inmates in danger, he is himself put in harms way. The team responds to a call when children become trapped in a mine, leading Eve and Jake to head inside… only for the entrance to collapse after them.
21. Backfire
As Bode prepares for his parole hearing, he learns that Manny has made an earthshaking decision. Meanwhile, the crew responds to a call at a local winery after a private firefighting firm intentionally causes an uncontrollable backfire, and Gabriela decides she is done with waiting.
22. I Know it Feels Impossible
Torrential rain causes a massive mudslide that tears through the town, trapping civilians visiting for a wedding. And Bode’s future is at stake as his parole hearing suffers a heartbreaking setback.
