What is WAR about?

Golden Globe nominated and Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning creator and showrunner George Kay (Hijack, Lupin, The Long Shadow) is bringing a bold new legal thriller to Sky and NOW, WAR.

Tech titan Morgan Henderson and his Hollywood A-lister wife, Carla Duval are getting divorced – and it’s going to be messy. With both hiring two of London’s most prestigious law firms - Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne – the pair’s split is sure to be the divorce case of the century as they divide their assets and fight each other tooth and nail every step of the way.

With both sides not willing to lose, the case spirals out of control as loyalties fracture and reputations are dragged through the mud, with the scandal that unfolds sending shockwaves through boardrooms and courtrooms (as well as bedrooms).

George Kay, creator and writer, said: “I am excited to be working with Sky and HBO - two homes for bold, ambitious storytelling - and our brilliant production team.

  • Archie Renaux (Alien: Romulus, Upgraded) as Jonathan “Johnny” Warren.

What is the age rating of WAR?

At the time of writing (August 2025), there has been no confirmation regarding the age rating of WAR.

However, it is believed to contain adult themes and as such is unlikely to be considered suitable for children or younger ages.

How many seasons of WAR are there?

Great news! Before season one has even been released, the show has been confirmed for a second season as well.

The series will be an anthology, with each new season introducing a new messy legal case.

The cast will therefore be rotated for the second season, with information on what’s to come yet to be announced as of August 2025.

When and where can I watch WAR?

WAR will air on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK, Ireland and Italy, and on Sky and WOW in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

It will air on HBO and HBO Max in the US, and stream on HBO Max in Australia.

WAR is coming to Sky and NOW in 2026.
