The White Lotus starts on a rough note with a body being loaded onto a plane. The question is, who’s in the box?

The show then picks up one week prior, where The White Lotus of Maui, Hawaii, led by the extroverted Armond, welcomes a group of rich and entitled holidaymakers.

Shane Patton with his new wife Rachael arrive to celebrate their honeymoon, but Shane quickly gets annoyed when the esteemed Pineapple Suite isn’t available.

Then there’s High-flying tech mogul Nicole and husband Mark Hossbacher arrive with their teen children Quinn and Olivia, plus Olivia’s friend Paula in tow.

Finally there’s Tanya McQuoid, a wealthy and exuberant heiress who has arrived on the island in order to spread her late mother’s ashes.

As the week plays out, each group has their own issues and truths come to light as the staff are tested to their limits to try and make sure their stay is a memorable one.
