In The Cleaning Lady, Thony De La Rosa finds herself in an impossible situation as an undocumented immigrant in Las Vegas.

A Cambodian-Filipino surgeon back home, she was forced to come to the US in a desperate bid to get help for her five-year-old son Luca after he was diagnosed with a life-threatening autoimmune disorder.

First arriving in the States for a one-of-a-kind bone marrow treatment, Thony works as a cleaner alongside her sister-in-law Fiona once her visa expires to make ends meet.

However, Thony’s life changes forever when she witnesses a murder by career criminal Arman Morales. When he discovers her, she manages to save her life with a deal – she’ll become a cleaner and doctor for his criminal organisation, and in exchange they will help pay for Lucas’s treatment.

But as her position in the company is set, her double life soon sees her falling further into Nevada’s criminal underworld, leaving her playing both sides of the law and keeping secrets from her family as she continues to do her work.
