Steve lifts Becky's mood by giving her the resized engagement ring. Tina plans to escape the pressures of Weatherfield, while Sally and Kevin agree to give up alcohol for Lent.

Becky is humiliated by Michelle's revelation about her engagement ring. Paula avoids answering Eileen's questions, David tries to persuade Tina to return.

Gary finally stands trial, but David is left on tenterhooks waiting for Tina to arrive. Becky arranges a date for her wedding and Ken admits he has feelings for Martha.

David is relieved to see Tina, who wrestles with her conscience as she faces the jury. Leanne considers a job offer in Leeds and Rosie resents Julie's easy relationship with Luke.

The fallout from the trial continues as the families arrive home. Peter's impending return affects Leanne's decision about the job offer and Mary puts a proposition to Norris.

Graeme takes advantage of David's rift with Tina by trying to win her over. Leanne welcomes Peter back to Weatherfield and Norris goes on a trial run in the motor home with Mary.

Leanne is bewildered when a woman arrives at the bookies and asks for Peter, claiming she has just spent a couple of weeks with him. Lloyd explains to Liz why he deceived her.

Joe is too proud to accept Gail's financial help and decides to resurrect his deal with Len. Leanne resists emotional blackmail and leaves for Leeds, while Liz gives Anna a job.
