Rob and Romesh are back for a fourth series of hit TV show, Rob & Romesh Vs. This series the boys take on the worlds of strongman competitions, the West End and restaurant management.

Look forward to the two funny men competing at the Arnold Sports Festival as Strongmen, appearing in Disney’s The Lion King musical and opening their own genuine restaurant.

Episode 1: Rob & Romesh Vs Strongman

To kick off series four, the boys take on Strongman and put their physical fitness to the test to discover who is the strongest. They head to Glasgow to find out what it takes to be a Strongman at Giants Live and meet British legend and winner of the World’s Strongest Man, Eddie ‘The Beast’ Hall. He sets the boys a challenge – they have two weeks to get ready for a competition at the Arnold Classic, where they’ll be going head-to-head in an atlas stone challenge.

To prepare for their challenge, the duo heads off to the spiritual home of Strongman - Iceland. Their first stop is Magnus Ver Magnusson’s gym, where the former champion puts them through their paces with a number of strength tests before they take the training outdoors.

Before long the time has come and it’s competition day. Armed with words of encouragement from Magnus, the pair take to the stage for their atlas stone showdown.

Who is Eddie ‘The Beast’ Hall?


Eddie ‘The Beast’ Hall is a powerlifter who was crowned the World’s Strongest Man in 2017 and currently holds the deadlift world record, which he set at 500kg. Nowadays, Eddie has a YouTube channel where he posts videos of strongman commentary, training and food challenges.

Who is Magnus Ver Magnusson?


Magnus Ver Magnusson is an Icelandic powerlifter and strongman competitor who won the 1991, 1994, 1995 and 1996 World’s Strongest Man competition. He is considered one of the greatest strongmen of all time.

Episode 2: Rob & Romesh Vs West End

In this episode Rob & Rom take on the West End, to see if they have what it takes to crack the world of musicals. To help them on their way, Rob & Rom meet up with West End superstar Samantha Barks to get some top-tips on how to become a successful performer. A quick singing lesson later and they’ve run into a huge problem…Rob can’t carry a tune.

The pair head to West End Live where they are served up a smorgasbord of musicals, in the hopes of finding one that tickles their fancy. But they quickly realise that the ability to sing and dance – which neither of them have - is fairly crucial to landing a role in a musical.

Despite their lack of talent, Samantha manages to pull some strings and sort out an audition for one of the West End’s biggest productions – The Lion King. Having fluffed their lines in their first audition, the pair see if they might be better suited to the role of a dancing lion. After failing that audition too, the team take pity on Rob & Rom and offer them a smaller, but equally important, role as wildebeest.

Who is Samantha Barks?


Samantha Barks is a highly sought-after musical theatre performer, who - at the time of filming – was starring as Elsa in the West End production of Frozen. Samantha has played a number of top musical roles, including Eponine in Les Misérables – a role which she later reprised in the 2012 film.

Episode 3: Rob & Romesh Vs Restaurants: First Course

This week the pair are taking on the food industry. Over the next two episodes, Rob & Rom set out to see if they have what it takes to be the best in the business. Before they open their own restaurant, they need to check out the competition, which means paying Tom Kerridge a visit at his two Michelin star restaurant The Hand and Flowers. After a slap-up meal, it’s time for the boys to head into the kitchen to see how their dishes were made and learn one of the most important recipes – how to make hollandaise sauce from scratch.

Having familiarised themselves with the kitchen, Tom sends the pair on a research mission so they can see what it takes to run a restaurant. With less than two weeks until their restaurant’s grand opening, it’s time for Rob & Romesh to brush up on their skills with a crash course on how to maître d’, wait tables and bartend.

Next up is foraging, with Rob & Rom venturing out on canoes in search of the best produce. For the final stage on their research mission, the pair head to Copper & Ink where MasterChef finalist Rob Parks, who heads up the kitchen, enlists their help with cooking lunch for the busy dining room.

Who is Tom Kerridge?


Tom Kerridge is a Michelin-starred chef and his restaurant, The Hand and Flowers, is the only gastro-pub to have ever been awarded two stars. As a chef he has appeared on a number of TV shows including Great British Menu, MasterChef and Saturday Kitchen.

In Rob & Romesh Vs Restaurants, Tom treats the pair to a Michelin-starred meal at his restaurant before sending them on a research mission so they can learn about what it takes to run a restaurant.

Who is Rob Parks?


Rob Parks is a former MasterChef contestant, who reached the 2015 semi-finals of the show. He’s currently the Head Chef at Blackheath restaurant, Copper & Ink. In Rob & Romesh Vs, Rob Parks puts the duo to work in the kitchen where they help cook lunch for the patrons at Copper & Ink.

Episode 4: Rob & Romesh Vs Restaurants: Second Course

In the final episode of Rob & Romesh Vs Restaurants, it’s crunch time with the pair almost ready to open their own restaurant. With less than a week until opening, Rob & Rom take turns cooking for Michelin-starred chefs Tom Kerridge and Angela Hartnett so they can get some last-minute feedback.

Armed with some tips from the experts, Rob & Rom head to their venue to make some final decisions including the restaurant name and menu. Decisions made and the pair head off to the supermarket in search of ingredients so they can get prepping.

Hours later the restaurant is full, with renowned food critics Grace Dent and Jay Rayner amongst the patrons. An hour and a half later, dishes start to make their way out to the disgruntled guests. Finally, service is over and after just one night the restaurant closes.

Who is Angela Hartnett?


Angela Hartnett is a Michelin-starred chef and one of the UK’s most loved restaurateurs. Having started as a protégé of Gordon Ramsay, she quickly made a name for herself cooking sophisticated, Italy-inspired dishes. In Rob & Rom Vs Restaurants, Angela samples some of Rob & Rom’s cooking ahead of their restaurant opening.

Who is Grace Dent?


Grace Dent is a columnist and broadcaster, best known for being a restaurant critic for The Guardian. She has also appeared on MasterChef UK, Celebrity Masterchef and Great British Menu as a judge. In Rob & Romesh Vs, Grace joins fellow critic Jay Rayner to dine at the duo’s restaurant.

Who is Jay Rayner?


Jay Rayner is a journalist and the restaurant critic for The Observer. His television work includes appearances as a judge on Masterchef and presenting two series of Dispatches. In Rob & Romesh Vs, Jay joins fellow critic Grace Dent for a meal at Rob & Rom’s restaurant.
