In Little Bird, 20-year-old Esther Rosenblum looks like she has an ideal life – a loving and affluent adoptive family, with a career and whole future ahead of her.
But something inside her feels lost, and when she discovers a newspaper article about her adoption, her need for answers becomes overwhelming.
However, as she attempts to find out more about her birth family and her previous life as Behzig Little Bird, will she be prepared for what she discovers? And what will it mean for her adoptive family? And how will it affect her future?

Season Recap
Across the series, Little Bird is split into two timelines. The first starts in 1968, when Behzig Little Bird was living on the Long Pine Reserve with her mother, father, brother and sister – before they are tragically separated. The second timeline is set in the 1980s, where Behzig now goes by Esther Rosenblum.
Episode 1 - Love Is All Around
In 1968, on the Long Pine Reserve in Saskatchewan, a young boy’s playful accident results in his family being targeted by the authorities. 18 years later, his sister Behzig Little Bird now goes by Esther Rosenblum, but while she’s been raised in a loving home, she feels like something is missing from her life.
Episode 2 - So Put Together
Esther’s discovery of a newspaper clipping brings back foggy memories of her time on the Long Pine Reserve. Becoming determined to discover more about her life prior to adoption, she goes on a mission to find out where she came from – but in doing so could destroy everything her life currently is.
Episode 3 - The Land That Takes You
In the past, Patti Little Bird fights against the system in a desperate bid to get her children back, now knowing where they have been taken. In the present, Esther/Behzig finds herself in the same situation as she returns to her childhood home to find out what happened to her family.
Episode 4 - Burning Down The House
Esther/Behzig is left shocked after her reunion with long-lost family members, and a discovery that reframes her entire life as she knows it.
Back in Montreal, Esther’s adoptive mother Golda has some explaining to do as new truths come to light.
Episode 5 - I Want My Mom
Esther continues to spend time at the Reserve to learn more about her past and her heritage. But when tragedy strikes, she finds herself missing Golda. Can she rebuild elements of her past and her present and bind them together?
Episode 6 - Binisi Kwe
As Esther/Behzig’s hunt for answers comes to an end, she finally finds what she’s been looking for. Everyone moves forward into a new future, whatever that may look like.
