What is Boyzone: No Matter What about?

For the first time in 30 years, Boyzone band members Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch and Michael Graham grant rare and exclusive interview access about their time in one of the biggest boybands in history.

Revealing their personal experiences in a band that sold over 25 million records worldwide, the boys also talk candidly about how they grappled with the true cost of global fame.

As the band try to close a chapter in their lives, they confront the strained relationships and tragic events that have had a lasting impact on all their lives, families and friendships.

This series is the definitive story of Boyzone, featuring contributions from the late Stephen Gately’s sister, Michelle, his former partner and pop star Eloy De Jong, and their now estranged manager Louis Walsh.

Boyzone: No Matter What will explore the key events that shaped the band.

In 1993, when boy band mania was sweeping across the UK and Ireland, band manager Louis Walsh held auditions in Dublin to find the next musical sensation.

From this, five working-class teenage Dubliners were plucked from obscurity and thrust into the global spotlight.

But the highs of global stardom came some lows, with intense tabloid intrusion that was synonymous with 90s Britain continuing throughout their time as a group before their split in 1999.

After a string of projects including acting and solo music careers, Boyzone had a sensational comeback in 2007, but tragedy struck the band when Stephen died.
