What is Watson about?
In this contemporary continuation of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries made famous by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Watson follows the titular doctor as he continues life without his super sleuth best friend.
After a disastrous case at the Reichenbach Falls in Switzerland, Sherlock is presumed dead alongside lifelong foe James Moriarty, and John Watson has a severe brain injury that impacts his ability to work.
Discovering Sherlock left him a secretly funded private clinic in his will, Watson moves from London to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he finds a new meaning for his life as the head of the Holmes Clinic for Diagnostic Medicine.
With his experience in deductive reasoning with Sherlock allowing him to solve complex medical cases, he navigates running the clinic alongside his estranged wife Mary Morston. But Watson soon discovers the past rarely stays buried…
Season one of Watson initially launched in the US in January 2025, with a second season launching in October 2025 and exclusively on Sky Witness and NOW in the UK from February 15th, 2026.
