True Detective: Night Country Guide

Available on
We’re heading to Alaska during the darkness of winter, as an all-female detective team investigates the disappearance of eight men from a research station. Only on Sky Atlantic and NOW.

In the first female-led season of True Detective, Night Country trades in the heated desert landscapes of seasons past for the frozen world of Ennis, Alaska.

When eight scientists working at the Tsalal Research Station all mysteriously disappear at the same time, Captain Liz Danvers is called in to lead the search. But when the bodies are finally discovered in the tundra, it opens up a bigger mystery.

As the news breaks, trooper Evangeline Navarro realises there may be a connection between these deaths and a previous missing persons case.

But as the long night takes hold and bizarre visions appear, the team have to keep their wits about them.

Here’s what you need to know about how the investigation unfolds.
