Watch - The White Lotus - Season Three Locations

The White Lotus took a trip to Thailand for a killer season three, where its five-star luxury and promise of calm was only matched by the chaos the clients brought with them.
Be it a May-December couple looking for some spiritual relief, a troubled CEO on a family getaway, or some old friends reuniting, Thailand promises something for everyone… and in this show it certainly delivered.
While some learned a bit too much about themselves, no one can deny it was a memorable experience.
So, if you want to take a season three-inspired trip, we have you covered, with the real locations covering Phuket to Bangkok and beyond.
The Hotel
Location: Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui
As is tradition with The White Lotus series, creator Mike White used a Four Seasons resort as the key hotel for the season.
Pricing for the five-star Koh Samui resort starts at £3,861 for a week’s stay, depending on the season – but could reach up to £5,641.
Perched on the edge of a cliff, the location boasts 60 villas, all of which have panoramic views of the sea and beach below, with each villa having its own plunge pool.
The location also has a forest spa.
Hotel Driveway/Pornchai’s Security Detail
Location: Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort
While the Four Seasons was used for key scenes and remains the prominent hotel filming location, external scenes were shot elsewhere.
Notably, security guard Pornchai’s biggest haunts – including the driveway, the jewellery store that was robbed and his security station – were filmed at Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort.
The resort is a spa retreat, and is filled with trees and wildlife, giving off an aesthetic perfect for those wanting to experience the lap of luxury.
Prices start at £182 a night, with suites also overlooking the ocean.
The Arrival Boat
Location: The Red Dragon
The Red Dragon is a tourist boat, offering a sunset cruise tour and plenty of Thai food for guests while on board – both for buffets and breakfasts.
Notable due to its distinct wooden aesthetic and red sails, this boat proved perfect for the White Lotus team and the danger heading their way with the guests.
The Nighttime Events Bar
Location: Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort
Another Anantara location – where the guests gathered to watch performances each night, eat meals or grab a drink… and in some cases, see long-forgotten faces from their past across the room.
A lot went down in this restaurant on the show, but again, it is based in a completely different hotel. The Anantara Lawana is home to the Tree Tops Signature Dining experience, with its high location also hiding the Singing Birds Lounge.
Full Moon Beach Party
Location: Haad Rin Beach, Ko Pha Ngan
The Full Moon Party proved to be eye-opening for a lot of the guests this season – particularly the younger crowd.
If you want to recreate the scenes yourself, you can do so at Haad Rin Beach on Ko Pha Ngan, where the parties are held every month.
It’s also close to beaches and bars, if you want to keep the party going.
Alternatively, you can visit the beach in the day – with the crystal-clear sea perfect for swimming.
Piper’s Buddhist Monastery
Location: Wat Phu Khao Thong near Maenam Beach
Also known as the Golden Mount Temple, Wat Phu Khao Thong is based near the Historic City of Ayutthaya.
It blends two architectural styles, with a panoramic view of the landscape surrounding it, and a shrine inside the central white tower.
While it is open to visitors, it is an active monastery and is popular for those who are wanting to learn about Thai history and culture.
Rick and Frank’s Catch-Up Bar
Location: The Bamboo Lounge at the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok
While trying to track down his dad, Rick caught up with his friend Frank while staying at the Mandarin Oriental.
During their time together, Frank has a rather memorable monologue about his sex addiction, the avenues he’s explored because of it, to a stunned Rick.
This all takes place over drinks at the Bamboo Lounge – where anyone can visit, with or without traumatic feelings to share. You can alternatively just get an afternoon tea experience.
