The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Cast & Characters Hero Image

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has brought the universe to the front door of the original outbreak – Paris, France.

Daryl Dixon, fresh from his appearance in the main Walking Dead series, finds himself on French shores after leaving the group we grew to love him in.

Now on a mission to get back home, he comes across some new faces (and a couple of familiar ones) that make him second guess his desire to return to the States.

That’s not even counting the new types of walkers he runs into…

With season one already completed and season two on the way, it seems Daryl’s adventures have only just begun.

Here are the main characters you will need to know ahead of watching the series, available now on Sky Max and NOW.

Who are the key characters in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon?

Daryl Dixon

Played By: Norman Reedus (The Boondock Saints, The Bikeriders)

Originally introduced in The Walking Dead, Daryl is notoriously a loner by nature - so his biggest battle was learning how to accept help from those around him.

Washing up on the shores of France, having been kidnapped from America for unknown reasons, he now needs to figure out how to get home.

But in order to do that, he needs to make new friends in unlikely places, in the supposed source of the outbreak that devastated his world.

Isabelle Carriere

Played By: Clémence Poésy (In Bruges, Tenet, Harry Potter franchise)

A nun at the Abbey of Saint Bernadette, Isabelle has a chequered past including drug addiction and running with the wrong crowds.

She transformed her ways after arriving at the Abbey, which was used as a safe house in France after the outbreak took hold, following the death of her sister, Lilly.

Despite this, she still suffers from depression and has a history of self-harm. She is loving and cares deeply for those around her.

Laurent

Played By: Louis Puech Scigliuzzi (Newcomer)

Laurent is Isabelle’s nephew, and son of her late sister, Lilly.

He is seen by some, including Isabelle, as the potential key to saving humanity, as his mother was bitten by a walker while he was still in utero. While she died from her injuries, Laurent survived.

He has been sheltered from the realities of the world he lives in by staying at The Abbey, and while he’s a smart kid, can often act impulsively and irrationally. When he meets Daryl, he quickly learns to admire him.

Sylvie

Played By: Laïka Blanc-Francard (Le monde de demain)

Sylvie has been a nun most of her life, and has a kind and caring nature. After the outbreak, she joined the Union Of Hope.

She has a close bond with Laurent, and a boyfriend, Emile.

Marion Genet

Played By: Anne Charrier (Cheeky Business, Syndrome E)

Marion is the leader of Pouvoir, a nationalist movement in France that is gaining slow but steady support, with the belief she can create the 6th French Republic.

She also has close ties to The Power Of The Living, another political movement with the same intention.

Before the outbreak, she was a museum security guard, but now she’s transformed herself into a powerful leader – even doing research on the Wildfire Virus which created new types of variants.

Stéphane Codron

Played By: Romain Levi (Franklin, Savages)

A soldier for the Power Of The Living, Stéphane is a militant in his nature - and often ruthless in his execution of it.

He is extremely skilled as a fighter and a match to Daryl’s expertise.

However, he is shown to have some moral code, particularly when it comes to children, and isn’t afraid to defy orders in order to uphold those beliefs.

Quinn

Played By: Adam Nagaitis (The Terror, The Responder)

Quinn is the owner of Demimonde, a former bunker-turned-nightclub in the catacombs of Paris.

He is also Isabelle’s ex and Laurent’s father, and despite his charming exterior, can sometimes be cold-hearted.

Quinn is incredibly powerful within the French capital and highly connected.

Who is joining the cast of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season two?

The second season will come with the subhead The Book Of Carol and currently there have been a few cast announcements/character teases.

Carol Peletier

Played By: Melissa McBride (The Mist, Living Proof)

Originally from the main Walking Dead series, Carol became Daryl’s right-hand lady.

A confidante and a fierce fighter, Carol is someone you would want on side during a horde infestation. Fiercely caring and loyal to those around her, several characters in The Walking Dead viewed her as a motherly figure.

Despite this, she has become hardened over the years as she fought for survival.

After Daryl and Carol went their separate ways in the main series, her reappearance marks a shift in the show’s focus – especially when Daryl starts having doubts about wanting to return home.

Ash

Played By: Manish Dayal (The Resident, Halt and Catch Fire)

Currently, little is known about Ash, who is yet to be seen on screen.

The official announcement of his character describes him as “an engineer from Boston who moved to the family weekend house in Maine after the onset of the apocalypse”.

We know Ash lives by a strict schedule based mostly around his daily flights in a retrofitted single-engine plane, and mysterious visitations to his backyard greenhouse.
