The Reluctant Landlord

What is The Reluctant Landlord about?

The Reluctant Landlord is a sitcom that follows the story of Romesh – the titular landlord who inherits a pub, The Seven Swans, following his father’s death.

Now forced to run his late dad’s beloved business, Romesh doesn’t quite have the personable approach that he had and gets annoyed at the constant comparisons. After all, he wanted to be a DJ.

Keen to offload the business, Romesh also has to deal with family life with his wife Natasha and their two kids, who settle into their new surroundings just fine.

Then there’s the emotional blackmail from his mother to meet her standards, the eccentric locals that prop up the bar, and his local rival who owns the pub down the street.

Can Romesh make a success of the business? Or will he be calling time before it’s too late?
