In this new Sky Original, The Iris Affair is a tense and cinematic chase thriller that pits two brilliant minds against each other in a deadly game of hide and seek across Italy.
When enigmatic genius Iris Nixon cracks a string of complex online puzzles, she’s led to a piazza in Florence where she meets charismatic entrepreneur Cameron Beck, who invites her to come and work for him to unlock a powerful and top-secret piece of technology.
Her curiosity piqued, she accepts, but when Iris discovers its dangerous potential, she steals the journal containing the device’s activation sequence and vanishes.
As the series unfolds, Iris finds herself in a relentless pursuit, from a remote cabin in Sardinia through the bustling streets of Rome, as Cameron races to find Iris in a high-stakes game where trust is dangerous and failure could be catastrophic.
Shot in Sardinia in the summer of 2024, The Iris Affair – previously titled Iris – comes from the mind of Neil Cross, the mastermind behind the series Luther, who acts as showrunner as well as writer and creator.

Niamh Algar (Mary & George, The Virtues) and Tom Hollander (The White Lotus, Feud: Capote vs. The Swans) will be leading the cast in this twisty thriller.
Algar will play the role of Iris Nixon – an equal parts genius and puzzle addict, who cracks a secret code and unwittingly unlocks a dangerously powerful piece of technology.
Tom Hollander will play the role of Cameron Beck – the charming philanthropist who is trying to track Iris down.
