What is The Four Seasons about?

The Four Seasons is a comedy following the story of three couples, all longtime friends, as they navigate changing dynamics in their relationships.

Meeting up four times a year for weekend getaways and holidays, the affluent group is made up of career-focused couple Kate and Jack; Claude and Danny, a gay couple in an open marriage; and Nick and Anne, childhood sweethearts who have been together nearly 25 years.

But Anne’s decision to make a big declaration for her anniversary to Nick ends in disaster when he announces he’s leaving her – and later introduces his new girlfriend, Ginny, into the group.

As the group tries to be there for both sides of the split, their friendships and own relationships are tested as they question what it means for them. Particularly when an even bigger disaster shakes the group.

Originally based on the 1981 film by Alan Alda, The Four Seasons expanded from its source material in season two, picking up as the friendship group continues to navigate loss and some of life’s hardships.

Written by Tina Fey, Lang Fisher and Tracy Wigfield, the heartwarming story was nominated for a Primetime Emmy after its first season in 2025.

Season 2 launched in 2026.
