What is The Five Star Weekend about?

In The Five Star Weekend, famed cook and author Hollis Shaw finds herself at a loss when a devastating loss upends her perfect life.

Well-known for her taste and friendly nature, to most on the outside of her bubble she appears to have it all. But as she struggles to come to terms with the death, Hollis finds her carefully curated life slowly falling apart at the seams.

Soon, she’s forced to reevaluate everything – including her marriage, her relationship with her daughter, and her friends, as well as her need for validation among the fans that admire her.

Heading off on a mission of self-discovery, Hollis hosts a getaway with her loved ones in Nantucket. Among the guests are three of her closest friends – all of whom met her in different phases of her life.

But when a surprise fifth visitor makes an appearance, Hollis is forced to confront her past to lay the groundwork for her future.

Lucy Criddle, Director of Acquisitions & Strategic Projects, Sky said of the acquisition: "We're delighted to be bringing this glossy, character‑led drama to our Sky and NOW audiences this summer, based on the best-selling novel of the same name. With an ensemble cast, led by Jennifer Garner, it is the perfect addition to our slate"
