Who is Jason Statham?
Jason Statham is an English actor best-known for appearing in action-thriller movies. Fun fact: Statham competed for England in the 10 metre, 3 metre and 1 metre diving at the 1990 Commonwealth Games and was a member of Britain’s National Swimming Squad.
But it was his role in Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998 which put him firmly in the public eye and kick-started his acting career. This role was swiftly followed by another Ritchie collaboration in 2000, on the hit film Snatch which also starred Brad Pitt, Dennis Farina and Benicio del Toro.
In the years that followed, Statham’s acting career went from strength to strength and he has since appeared in a number of hit movies including The Transporter (and its two sequels), The Expendables, The Mechanic, Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7, Spy and The Meg.
