Everything you need to know about Ted – the TV prequel to hit film franchise Ted

Back in 2012, Seth MacFarlane brought us the movie Ted. The film tells the story of John, a Boston native, whose childhood wish brings his stuffed teddy bear, Ted, to life. But later in adulthood, Ted and John’s friendship begins to cause problems with John’s relationship. The two movies were a huge, global success with audiences around the world falling in love with the foul-mouthed stuffed teddy bear.
And now, the bear is back and taking over the small screen in a brand-new prequel series which sees Seth MacFarlane return to voice Ted.
The official synopsis, as released by Sky, reads:
“It's 1993, and Ted the bear’s (Seth MacFarlane) moment of fame has passed. He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.”
