What is Station Eleven about?
Station Eleven is a dystopian thriller set in a post-apocalyptic future, where a flu-like pandemic spread at such a speed and high mortality rate, it caused the collapse of civilization as we know it.
20 years later, among those that remain is the Travelling Symphony, a community of performers who move from town-to-town to entertain fellow survivors with Shakespeare plays.
However, things take a dangerous turn when they encounter a religious cult known as the Museum of Civilisation in the American Midwest, along with their enigmatic and threatening leader.
Based on the 2014 novel by Emily St. John Mandel, Station Eleven aired in late 2021 through to early 2022 and earned critical acclaim and awards recognition.
It was nominated for seven Primetime Emmy Awards in 2022, including Outstanding Writing, Outstanding Director (Hiro Murai) and Outstanding Lead Actor (Himesh Patel).
