Southern Charm follows a group of rich socialites as they live, love and work in Charleston, South Carolina.

Proud of their Southern roots, the series gives a no-holds-barred look at the professional and personal lives of those trying to make it in the city, while giving an insight into how the area’s historical background affects modern day life.

But the group itself has its own history, with many of those involved getting caught up in romantic entanglements, dating each other’s exes, or finding themselves in complicated love triangles as they navigate life together.

Whether they’re trying to launch a business or keep an established one afloat, it’s never a quiet day in Charleston.

First launching in 2014, Southern Charm has now run for 11 seasons.

At the time of writing (June 2026), Southern Charm has run for 11 seasons.

This comes to a total of 164 episodes, with season counts ranging from 10 episodes (season one) to 17 episodes (seasons 8 onwards).

In May 2026, it was confirmed the show was renewed for Season 12.

Southern Charm has only had two stars that have appeared as a main cast member in every season to date – Craig Conover and Shep Rose.

Whitney Sudler-Smith has also appeared in every season, though only in a “friend of” capacity since season four.

Other cast members have made guest appearances, or in a “friend of” capacity – meaning they are a supporting participant but not credited as a main cast member.

Completing the main cast of season 11 is:

• Leva Bonaparte (guest seasons 1-6 and 11; main seasons 7 to 10)

• Madison LeCroy (guest seasons 2-3; “friend of” in seasons 6 and 8; main in seasons 7 and 9 to present)

• Rodrigo Reyes (main since season 10)

• Salley Carson (main since season 10)

• Molly O’Connell (main since season 10)

• Charley Manley (new)

• Whitner Slagsvol (new)

Most episodes of Southern Charm are rated 15 by Hayu – meaning the show is not considered suitable for children and younger audiences.

However, some are marked as 18, meaning they’ve been deemed appropriate for adults only.

As a reality show, scenes are based in real environments, with the actions of those not scripted or pre-planned.

This means the show contains:

• Frequent use of profanity and adult language – some of which beeped

• Discussions around illegal drug use

• Frequent scenes of excessive drinking

• Adult behaviour and themes that would be inappropriate for children
