A staple of the rural landscape, barns have served U.S. society for more than 200 years. Many of the old structures have fallen into disrepair because of time and weather. In this series, Mark Bowe and his crew of West Virginia-based craftsmen salvage antique barns and cabins before the timber can deteriorate. Their goal is to put new life into worn-out structures. Among its projects, the crew tackles disassembling an antebellum log cabin in West Virginia, refurbishing it and rebuilding it for a collector in Tennessee.

Episode 3Home Is Where the Timber-Frame Heart Is

The team must use a little ingenuity to convert their largest timber-frame barn ever in their hometown. Upon completion, it will serve as a grand wedding venue.(S13,E04)

Episode 4American Fortitude

With the help of a local historian and a Revolutionary War expert, the team saves a legendary fort dating back to 1775 in Lake Lure, NC.(S13,E01)

Episode 5Preserving a Local Legend

A museum in Townsend, TN, enlists the Barnwood Builders to restore a 19th-century gunsmith's cabin to be the centrepiece of an exhibit.(S13,E07)

Episode 6Trial and Error

On an ice-cold week at the Boneyard, the team try something different. Mark challenges the guys to create a new system of notches to build a timber frame.(S13,E06)

Episode 7Restoring Russel's Fort

The team returns to Lake Lure, NC, to rebuild Russel's Fort, a 1770s log cabin. The build is full of challenges as the guys work on a steep jobsite.(S13,E08)

Episode 8The Heart of Appalachia

The crew travels to Wise, Virginia, to save an 1860s log home. Mark and the guys must salvage everything they can, including its rare, 36-foot logs.(S13,E09)

Episode 9Log Cabin Cupid

The team battles extreme weather to save an extraordinary 1853 cabin in Kentucky. Mark's clients travel from Colorado to see the salvage process.(S13,E10)
