One of the U.K.'s longest-running series, "Taggart" is a gritty detective show based in Glasgow, Scotland. The show follows detectives in the Maryhill CID of Strathclyde Police as they investigate crimes, often murders. The personal relationships of the officers and their families is also explored in the series.

Episode 1Dead Giveaway

The death of a member of Jardine's Church Youth Group starts Taggart and Jardine on an investigation which leads them into a dangerous case of extortion and murder.

Episode 2Root of Evil

During the Glasgow Garden Festival the severed head of a loan shark is found in a blocked drain. He is the first victim in what appears to be a serial killer taking murderous revenge on loan sharks.

Episode 3Double Jeopardy

The body of Rowena Bain is discovered in a wood and Taggart and Jardine are called to investigate. All forensic evidence suggests suicide, but Taggart is suspicious.
