A young couple who are desperately trying to save up for their first home are shocked to learn that they are entitled to inherit a grand country house from a distant relative. Their thoughts that this seems too good to be true soon materialises when they discover that the house is also home to the ghosts of its previous inhabitants. When the spirits learn that the couple are planning to turn the house into a hotel, they are horrified, and seek to make life as difficult as possible for the new owners.

Alison tries to ignore the ghosts' existence - but only exacerbates the problem - and Mike's attempts to turn the house into a home lead to a DIY disaster.

Pat's family make their annual pilgrimage to the site of his death as he begs Alison to pass on a message, and Mike struggles with a bathroom-based paranoia.

Alison tries to ensure that a shoot goes without a hitch when a TV company films a period drama in the house, and Julian tries his luck at betting on horse racing.

Episode 5Moonah Ston

Mike and Alison learn that some posh neighbours have an ancient claim over their land and throw an upmarket dinner party - with the ghosts' help - to help resolve an issue.

Episode 6Getting Out

A luxury hotel chain makes Mike and Alison a tempting offer, but the prospect of the couple's departure drives a wedge between the ghosts.
