In this travel programme, presenter Tony Robinson heads out on spectacular walks through some of Britain's most historic landscapes in search of stories from the country's past. Each episode takes Robinson down a route that allows him to learn about the history of a certain period or event in British history. Along the way, he meets experts who tell him more about the topic while revealing places and hidden stories that ordinary walkers might otherwise miss on their journeys. Among Robinson's treks are a 40-mile walk through the Peak District and a 60-mile stroll along the Jurassic coast in Dorset.
