Not Suitable For Work is a raunchy new comedy about five twentysomethings as they navigate the career world of Manhattan, New York.

Based in the affluent area of Murray Hill, Not Suitable For Work sees the group try to step up their respective career ladders – whether it’s establishing themselves on the corporate ladder, impressing as an assistant to a celebrity stylist, or trying to find their own feet as a ‘nepo-baby’.

On their downtime, they’re also hoping to find some happiness in their personal lives – but the work/life balance is a precarious see-saw, and this gang is about to find that out the hard way.

At least they have each other to get through it. Even if it is the blind leading the blind.

Written by Mindy Kaling, creator of The Mindy Project, Never Have I Ever and The Sex Lives of College Girls, Not Suitable For Work is an all-too-relatable sitcom for those who still haven’t quite got it all figured out.

Not Suitable For Work ran for a total of nine episodes.

Each episode ranged between 30 to 45 minutes in length.

Unfortunately it’s not looking likely! It was confirmed in August 2026 that Hulu and Disney were not renewing Not Suitable For Work for a second season.

Creator Mindy Kaling simply said in a statement on Instagram: “I love this show, I loved making this show, I love these people and I love all of you for all your sweet comments, messages, edits and for watching [Not Suitable for Work].”

At the time of writing (September 2026), it was being reported by Variety that Warner Bros. Television, who make the show, are attempting to shop it around for a new home.

Not Suitable For Work’s official rating by Disney in the UK is 16+ for the entire series, meaning it has been deemed unsuitable for younger audiences.

This is due to:
