What is Gomorrah - The Origins about?
Set in 1977 Naples, Italy, a young Pietro Savastano – a tough city kid from the poor areas of Secondigliano – is set to enter the criminal underworld for the first time as a means of survival.
Starting with petty theft, Pietro has dreams of following the footsteps of local gangster and neighbourhood “king” Angelo 'A Sirena. But as he’s pulled into Angelo’s orbit, he finds himself in over his head when a power struggle emerges.
Is Italy’s dark criminal underworld everything he’s thought it could be? Or is there something more powerful that can stop him from falling down this twisted rabbit hole?
Based on the bestseller “Gomorra” written by Roberto Saviano, Gomorrah – The Origins acts as a prequel series to the main Gomorrah series, which initially ran for five seasons from 2014 to 2021.
This Sky Original series will run for six episodes in the initial season and will premiere in 2026.
