But behind the headlines is a woman trying to navigate life and the very real personal challenges that come with it: her relationships, her family and her hopes for the future.
When filming begins, Gemma and her partner Rami are preparing for their wedding and hoping to start a family. But as the year unfolds, their plans are tested by circumstances they could never have anticipated. Rami faces his own challenges which put new pressures on their relationship, and their hopes of starting a family lead them into the deeply personal and emotional world of fertility. As Gemma embarks on her fertility journey, questions and worries begin to set in. Having spent so much of her life putting her career first, has she left it too late to have the family she has always wanted?
Alongside this, Gemma is caring for the people closest to her and trying to support those around her, all while navigating life in the public eye and balancing a busy career that she loves. Later in the year, she’s faced with the devastating loss of her mum, adding another profound and deeply personal chapter to a year that has already tested her in ways she never expected.

Who is Gemma Collins?
Gemma Collins is a beloved and prolific UK reality star who first appeared on our screens in 2011 as one of the stand-out stars on The Only Way is Essex.
Gemma is a self-proclaimed diva and was dubbed “The GC” by friends and fans alike.
Wanting to be famous from an early age, Gemma initially pursued the theatrical arts, becoming a dancer and a singer as a teenager.
By 2013, she had become a household name, and her first autobiography, Basically...: My Life as a Real Essex Girl, became a UK bestseller.
Since that point, Gemma has appeared on a string of reality TV shows across the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and has had several reality shows tracking her life.
She previously had a notable relationship with fellow TOWIE star James ‘Arg’ Argent, with whom she had a turbulent on/off romance between 2013 and 2020.
Gemma has been engaged to fiancé Rami Hawash since 2024, after a romantic proposal during a trip to the Maldives. The pair first got together in 2011, and were engaged on Christmas Day three years later, but broke off their relationship shortly after.
However, they reconnected in 2020 during the Covid lockdown and have remained together ever since.
Through Rami, she has a stepson, Tristan, who was present at the engagement.
