• Linda Cardellini stars as Pamela Voorhees in the eight-episode horror drama created by Brad Caleb Kane, known for IT: Welcome to Derry and Warrior.
• Set within the established Friday the 13th canon, Crystal Lake offers horror fans a deeper look at the mythology of Jason Voorhees and the events that shaped one of the genre’s most infamous killers.
• Crystal Lake premieres exclusively on Sky and NOW in October 2026, bringing a fresh chapter to one of horror’s most recognisable franchises.

In a brand new expansion to the Friday The 13th horror universe, brand new series Crystal Lake delves into the twisted world of Pam Voorhees – the mother of the iconic, near indestructible killer, Jason Voorhees.

Set before the events of the original 1980 movie, Crystal Lake follows Pamela a year after her young son drowned in the titular lake a year before. Struggling with her grief, Pam is visited by two strangers who start digging into her past.

The new arrivals trigger a chain of events leaving locals of the town questioning - who exactly is Pam Voorhees?

Created and written by Brad Caleb Kane (IT: Welcome to Derry, Warrior) and brought to screens by A24, the series is set to expand on the Friday the 13th lore we’ve come to know and love.

Speaking ahead of the series launch, Kane – who was also showrunner for the series – wrote: “For fans of the franchise, I can promise them that they're going to be seeing a show that was made and crafted by fans, people who grew up with the franchise, people like me who saw these movies in theaters when they were released with large crowds, who screamed at all of the kills, and who wanted to recreate that feeling for at-home audiences.

“So people should expect a ride, incredible performances, and a show that exists within the canon and with the DNA of the original franchise. Crystal Lake was made with so much love and respect for the fans and for the franchise in general.”

Crystal Lake has been confirmed for eight, hour-long episodes with its opening season.

There are currently no announced plans for a second series or extension from the initial run.

Crystal Lake is yet to be given an age rating – but it will be aimed at adult audiences, specifically horror fans.
