
With three series of political drama, COBRA available to watch on Sky Max, you’re forgiven for not remembering exactly who everyone is. If you need a little refresh of who’s who, read on for a character and cast breakdown.
But be warned, there are spoilers throughout!
Robert Sutherland (Robert Carlyle)
Robert Sutherland is a charismatic British Prime Minister and leader of the Conservative Party, who is driven by a desire to do what is right for both his country and his family. During his tenure and across three series of COBRA, he’s had to face a number of threats against the country. In COBRA: Rebellion, Sutherland’s personal and political life are mired, with his authority under severe scrutiny – from his daughter Ellie and Whitehall.
Robert Carlyle is a Scottish actor. His work includes Trainspotting, The Full Monty, The World is Not Enough and Yesterday. Robert won a BAFTA for his role in The Full Monty and was Emmy nominated for his role in Human Trafficking.

Anna Marshall (Victoria Hamilton)
Anna Marshall is the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff and a former war correspondent. With her home life in disarray, Anna throws herself into work. But in COBRA: Rebellion Anna’s faith in Robert is put to the ultimate test and with a divided nation in the grip of chaos, Anna finds her most crucial relationship close to breaking point.
Victoria Hamilton is an English actress, who has appeared in a number of theatre productions including appearing with the Royal Shakespeare Company. More recently, Victoria has appeared in Netflix drama series The Crown.

Francine Bridge (Marsha Thomason)
Over the series we have seen Francine working with the PM and Anna Marshall, before going it alone and then running for office as a Labour MP. After rejecting an offer to join the Conservatives, Francine has been welcomed back into the fold of the Labour Party – despite previously being unfairly ousted. Francine is an individual who is always guided by integrity and astute moral values.
Marsha Thomason is a British actress who is best known for her role in Disney’s The Haunted Mansion, Lost and The Bay,

Ellie Sutherland (Holly Cattle)
Ellie Sutherland is the Prime Minister’s daughter. In COBRA: Rebellion, Ellie returns from spending time in Chile radicalised and now on a mission to use her platform to promote the climate crisis movement. But her new-found political ideologies could cause irreparable issues between her and her father.
Holly Cattle is an actress who, in addition to COBRA, has appeared in Force Majeure.

Archie Glover-Morgan (David Haig)
When we first meet Archie he’s a Conservative politician and the Home Secretary. In Series 2 he is appointed Foreign Secretary by the PM. Archie is an ambitious individual who is not afraid to share his opinion, even if this proves unpopular. Despite having a complex relationship with the PM, it is one that is built on mutual respect which is why when the PM comes calling for his support, Archie obliges.
David Haig is an English actor. His career in theatre, television and film spans over four decades including a recent role in BBC drama Killing Eve.

Eleanor James (Lisa Palfrey)
Eleanor James is the Head of the Joint Intelligence Committee. She has devoted her whole life and career to the sacred maxim of ‘defence of the realm’. In COBRA: Rebellion, Eleanor finds this devotion challenged like never before.
Lisa Palfrey is a Welsh actress who has appeared in House of America, Under Milk Wood and Sex Education.

Joseph Obasi (Richard Pepple)
Joseph Obasi was introduced in the second series of COBRA, as the new Home Secretary. He is a smart and confident individual but not a fan of the PM, having previously been unsuccessful in trying to topple him from his position.
Richard Pepple is an actor who has appeared in a number of TV shows including Gangs of London, Bridgerton and Code 404.

Victoria Dalton (Jane Horrocks)
Victoria is the new Defence Secretary, a new character introduced in COBRA: Rebellion. After Series 2, the PM realised he needed to project strength in his government and to do so he needed to appoint a strong individual in the role of Defence Secretary. Enter, Victoria Dalton.
Jane Horrocks is a British actress who starred in Absolutely Fabulous and was nominated for a Golden Globe and BAFTA for her role in Little Voice.

Henry Wicks (Ben Crompton)
Henry Wicks is a new character for series 3. He is the founder, spokesperson and de facto leader of the Planet Resistance movement. He is highly charismatic and a brilliant speaker, encouraging an activist strategy.
Ben Crompton is an actor and comedian. He has appeared in TV shows including Ideal, Doctor Who and Game of Thrones.

Audrey Hemmings (Alexa Davies)
Audrey Hemmings joined as a Civil Contingencies Secretariat officer in the second series. She is young – in her 20s – but a hard-working and positive individual, which is what saw her promoted to a new role as the Director of the Civil Contingent Secretariat.
Alexa Davies is an actress known for her roles in Raised by Wolves, Detectorists and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

Rachel Sutherland (Lucy Cohu)
Rachel Sutherland is the PM’s wife and a practicing lawyer. But with a daughter who has seemingly gone rogue, could this be the final straw in Robert and Rachel’s marriage?
Lucy Cohu is an English actress who has appeared on stage and films, including roles in The Queen’s Sister, Cape Wrath and Torchwood: Children of Earth.
Peter Mott (Edward Bennett)
Peter Mott is the Senior Special Advisor to Archie Glover Morgan, having previously worked as the Downing Street Press Secretary. As a highly ambitious individual, Peter is frustrated at his lack of progression.
Edward Bennett is an actor who has appeared in theatre productions and TV shows including Silent Witness, Miranda and Poldark.
