The Marriage of Reason and Squalor

This four-part drama series is created by leading visual artist Jake Chapman and stars Rhys Ifans and Sophie Kennedy Clark. The eccentric-but-romantic tale begins with bride-to-be Lydia, whose fiance gives her an elaborate wedding gift in the form of a desert island. Lydia travels to the island to wait for her amour but soon finds herself wrapped up in the strange happenings on the island. She meets an unusual, reclusive author, Helmut, who seems to take an emotional hold over her. As things become more surreal, Lydia suspects there is more to the island than first meets the eye.
