`Nick Nickleby' is a five-part adaptation of the Dickens classic `The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby' that, BBC says, retains the original story's wit but has a contemporary twist to reflect concerns and questions about modern Britain. It stars Andrew Simpson in the title role of Nicholas Nickleby's son, who seeks help from his wealthy uncle Ralph after his father's death leaves the Nickleby family in ruins. Nick is sent off to work in Ralph's flagship care home, Dotheolds Hall, where he uncovers a dark secret at the heart of his uncle's business. And so begins Nick's journey to fight corruption ... and eventually fall in love.
