Originally titled `Emmerdale Farm', this long-running soap focuses on a group of families in the Yorkshire Dales. The Tate, Sugden, Dingle and King families rely on the farm and its nearby village for their livelihoods, but the locale also provides plenty of danger and drama as well. Car crashes, shootings, fires, a Home Farm raid and even a plane crash have rocked the region, but its inhabitants carry on and even thrive in the bustling village they call home.
