Britain's history is recorded in it's monuments but now these landmarks are crumbling. Teams of people across the country are working hard to keep these icons standing. Those that work hard to repair them are known as Landmark fixers.

Episode 1Canterbury Cathedral

Follow a dedicated team of craftspeople as they work to complete a five-year, 25 million pound project to restore Canterbury Cathedral to its former glory.

Episode 2Edinburgh North Bridge

The team build a Protection Deck; more then 300km of scaffolding cover the whole bridge, encasing it in an exoskeleton of constantly changing steel.

Episode 3Royal Albert Hall

The historic Royal Albert Hall is in need of urgent repairs. A specialist team is required to restore the building to the highest order before its grand reopening.

Episode 4Southend Pier

Salt water and iron don't mix and Southend Pier, built back in 1888, has seen better days. Now a team of specialists are working hard to prevent it falling into the sea.

Episode 5Manchester Town Hall

After 14 decades centre stage the Manchester Town Hall is in urgent need of repair. Now a dedicated team are working hard to do this Architectural giant justice.

Episode 6London Sewers

The Victorian London sewer system is getting a 21st century upgrade. Machines bore a network of tunnels linking Bazalgette's old sewer network to the Tideway Super-Sewer.
