A four-part series that puts the spotlight on gambling addiction as it follows a paramedic called Jenny, played by Leanne Best, who is coping with her PTSD after being involved in a fatal train crash. After finding herself in debt to some dangerous people, she comes across a good Samaritan called Sasha, played by Anna Chancellor, who offers her a way out. But Sasha may not be who she says she is. `Compulsion' explores themes of friendship, family, love, loss, and the trauma that ordinary people experience.
