Set across multiple countries in the late 1970s, the series follows fiery, idealistic actress Charlie as she begins a whirlwind romance with a mysterious man she meets on a beach in Greece. Meanwhile, after a spate of deadly attacks on prominent Jewish figures, including a bombing in the German city of Bonn, Israeli spy Martin Kurtz devises a complex plan to find the perpetrator and bring an end to the attacks. Charlie then finds herself drawn into this dangerous international espionage operation masterminded by Kurtz. The six-part miniseries is based on the best-selling book by John le Carré.
