Nature photographer and TV presenter Chris Packham takes advantage of his experience in both of those areas in this programme that features Packham using science to learn more about members of the animal kingdom. He digs deep to discover features that have made certain animal groups able to successfully adapt to their environments. Among Packham's findings are discovering that features that seem to make penguins ill-equipped for their environs - round abdomens, stubby legs and stiff wings - actually allow the birds to thrive in the cold and icy conditions.
