The six-part series `Indian Ocean with Simon Reeve' sees the adventurer travelling around the edge of the Indian Ocean, uncovering stories from some of the world's most remote, dangerous and beautiful locations. It's an epic journey that takes him from the paradise islands of the Maldives to the front line of the war against piracy and terror on the streets of Mogadishu. Reeve begins his trek on the tip of South Africa, where he joins conservationists looking after highly endangered African penguins. And in his first ocean dive, he swims with tooth sharks and accompanies local fishermen as they catch a huge bull shark, which, tragically, is butchered on the beach for its fins.

Episode 1South Africa to Zanzibar

Simon travels around the coastline of the Indian Ocean, setting out from South Africa - where he dives with sharks - and moving on to Mozambique and Zanzibar.

Episode 2Madagascar to the Seychelles

Simon's journey takes him spearfishing in Madagascar, through the slums of Mauritius and on to the Seychelles, where he visits the world's smallest national park.

Episode 3Kenya to Somaliland

The adventurer travels from the south of Kenya to the Horn of Africa, along the way joining a Ugandan peace-keeping force in Mogadishu, the capital of war-torn Somalia.

Episode 4Oman to the Maldives

Simon journeys from Oman to the Maldives, where the tropical coral islands are being damaged by bleaching and an entire island has been manufactured as a landfill dump.

Episode 5Sri Lanka to Bangladesh

Simon finds out about battles in Sri Lanka, then moves on to Bangladesh, where he hears about the fast-growing industry providing prawns for the West.

Episode 6Indonesia to Australia

Simon travels from Indonesia to Australia, visiting the epicentre of the 2004 tsunami, investigating the trade in illegal pets and meeting a crocodile hunter.
