David Tennant and Michael Sheen play themselves and star in the absurdist off-beat sitcom `Staged', shot and produced during the lockdown following the Coronavirus pandemic. The two men were due to open a play in the West End, but though the pandemic has put a stop to their stage production, their director Simon Evans wants to seize the moment and adapt the script for the internet. The only thing standing between Simon and success, however, are his two surly lead actors who are reluctant to rehearse and constantly distracted by boredom, home-schooling, and their own egos.
