Adventurer Simon Reeve returns to BBC Two and travels the length of South America completing the second part of his two-series journey down through the entire Americas. Filmed over five episodes, the series is an adventure through some of the most fascinating and remote places on earth. Simon travels from the top to the toe of the continent, encountering an incredible range of characters and environments and investigates some of the great challenges that the people of South America face.

Simon Reeve journeys through the remote northeast of South America from the spectacular Mount Roraima in Venezuela through Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana.

Simon travels through Brazil, visiting a neglected indigenous neighbourhood in Manaus and meeting a nurse who was the only source of healthcare during the pandemic.

Episode 3Simon Reeve's South America

In the third part of his journey, Simon Reeve travels through the Andes mountains from Peru to Bolivia, beginning at the world-famous ruins of Machu Pichu.

Episode 4Simon Reeve's South America

The adventurer travels to the vast white salt flats of Bolivia, through the world's greatest wetlands of Brazil's Pantanal, and on to the forested heart of Paraguay.

Episode 5Simon Reeve's South America

Simon Reeve travels from Chile's Atacama Desert and follows the Andes to Patagonia before ending up in most southerly inhabited region on earth, Tierra Del Fuego.
